Robyn Barker purchased this cottage in 2014
This unique property once known as the Pine Hurst cottages was a favorite destination for many families coming to Manitou in the early 1900's. Our friends have always told us we should own a B&B, exclaiming that their stay with us is like going on a vacation. So we want to share with you what they have experienced. We want to give our quests more of a personal experience when staying in our cottage. You will be made to feel most welcome at the serenity cottage We are confident you will enjoy your stay.
Whether you enjoy the peace and quiet of our mountain cottage with a good book and a tasty beverage, or you get out and explore Manitou's Hike/Bike/Running trails, canyons & mountain views, Manitou Incline, Pikes Peak, local breweries, great food, Yoga & TRX classes, mineral pool spa center, our friendly accommodation is sure to become one of your favorite destinations.
Robyn was an amazing host. This sweet little cabin was a swift 5 minute walk from all the shopping and restaurants you could ask for. The railroad was only 2 minutes up from the cabin but I would drive this because it's straight uphill! The cottage was cozy and the 2 main beds comfy. The other 2 beds located upstairs are only suitable for children. The jacuzzi tub came in handy after hiking all day. Our favorite part was the private sitting area located at the back of property. We will definitely be back!
We were blessed to be able to book this cottage for a last minute weekend after a funeral in the area.
Robyn was there to greet us despite our later than expected arrival, and we felt very welcomed. We really enjoyed spending time with Robyn, Steve and Hank.
The area is BEAUTIFUL, night or day. Easy location to get to, but peaceful and quiet. Felt like we were up in the mountains, but were just up an easy hill from Manitou.
Perfect for the two of us, and would probably work great for a family with a couple children. Our bed was supremely comfortable, and could wake up with the morning sunshine on our faces if we liked.
We cooked out one day, and dined al fresco on the nearby table next to the hill.
There really isn't anything we would improve upon! We HIGHLY recommend this cottage. It really is SERENITY! Thank you so much for everything, Robyn and Steve!!
We could not be more impressed! The cottage is well-equipped with all necessary modern amenities, is comfortable, immaculate, and in the best location possible! A very short walk to the Cog Railway or the infamous Manitou Incline, and an equally short walk into charming downtown Manitou Springs. The owner is delightful to work with, and has clearly put thought into making the property special. We loved sipping wine on the adirondack chairs on the porch, and it was wonderful to eat outdoors on the rear stone patio. The huge bathtub is perfect for soaking away muscle aches after a long day hiking or trail-running. Highly recommend - We will definitely be back for a return visit!!
The cottage was absolutely perfect!!! There was 4 of us and we each had our areas in the house. The location was perfect to everything we wanted to do and was so peaceful and quiet to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. Robyn was right there if we needed anything and was great to help us with suggestions. You will NOT regret staying at the cottage we cant wait to go back next year and enjoy it again.
Everything we needed for a wonderful time. The owners are very helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend staying here. Can't wait to return.
This cabin is the perfect getaway for anyone interested in staying in the Colorado Springs area. It is walking distance to historic Manitou Springs with great restaurants and shopping. It is also walking distance to beautiful mountain hiking paths. The cabin is nestled at the bottom of the Southern Rocky Mountains and Pike's Peak. it has the quaint feel of a cabin in the mountains, but with all the emenities of a very nice house- comfortable beds, a relaxing living room, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. Add to that amazing owners who are so helpful and gracious. My family loved our stay and we can't wait to come back.
Walking distance (1/8 mile) to the bottom of the infamous Manitou Incline and Barr trail leading to the summit of Pikes Peak. 2 blocks to the Cog Railroad with daily trips up Pikes Peak. Garden of the Gods Park is in Manitou Springs and is a must for any visitor.
