About the property

Courchevel #34 is a 2 bedroom plus loft and 2 bathroom unit with a private two car garage. Lots of windows and space make this a comfortable unit. It even has its own washer and dryer. Located less than 300 yards from Canyon Lodge. Our location next to the lower boundary of the bike park is very convenient. Ride the shuttle up to the Main Lodge in summer and bike downhill right back to your condo. The unit sleeps up to 8 people. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and 32" flat screen cable T.V. The second bedroom downstairs has a king bed and a 32" flat screen cable T.V. The loft has two twins, and the living room has a queen size sleeper couch. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, a 42" flat screen cable TV, DVD, free wireless internet access and a washer and dryer. Linens and cleaning are included in the already low price. The Courchevel complex has an outdoor pool and BBQ area in the summer and two indoor hot tubs with coed sauna open year round. Business tax certificate #855

This condo was perfect -- everything we hoped for and more. The parking situation was amazing, the location is unbeatable, and Kai from Mammoth Mountain Accommodations went above and beyond to help make our last day as convenient and amazing as the rest of our trip. Can't wait to come back!!!

Closest to the lifts

We stayed in this home for 2 nights, we love Canyon Lodge and this home is one of the closest to the lifts. There were enough beds for 7 of us (2 families) both of our cars fit in the garage perfectly (Honda Pilot, and BMW 335i). It is easy to find. We had read some previous reviews about limited hot water for showers, and we did not have any problems. We ordered pizza delivery for dinner and the next day cooked dinner, it was so nice to have a kitchen with enough plates and utensils. Upstairs bedroom shines light right in, so if you're sensitive to light, might want to bring those eye sleep mask, but you want to get up early so you can be the first one on the lifts, so it might be a good thing as well.

We have also stayed at a home where the wood was outside with the snow so it would be hard to burn, but this one had wood in the garage where it's nice and dry, so it was perfect. There are 20 steps to walk up to the front door, and higher elevation makes it harder to breathe, it just makes you want to work out harder. We came in Feb 2017 when there were record breaking snow fall, the fresh air, and the views are amazing. This has been our favorite rental in Mammoth.

Amazing Location

This is prime location. About a 1 minute walk to Canyon Lodge. The townhouse is quant and roomy enough for 5 adults and 1 small child. It snowed heavily during our stay and the snow plows did a good job clearing the roads inside the complex and outside. Usually by 9:30am the complex roads were plowed.

I was very disappointed in the way the townhouse was advertised and supplied.

The loft: The townhouse is advertised as 2 bedrooms and a loft. Most lofts are above the common living area. However this loft is actually above the upstairs bedroom. Providing no privacy for the bedroom occupants. Instead, this townhouse should be advertised as a master bedroom plus bedroom w/ a loft.

Fireplace: Advertised as firewood stocked. Yes, however the fireplace is very small. Can barely fit 1 piece of wood in it. There is a sign stating do not chop wood on hearth. You definitely need to chop wood but there is nothing to chop the wood with. Impossible to start a fire in that tiny fireplace and large pieces of wood. I wish they told me to bring a hatchet.

Because the snow fall was heavy the stairs to the entrance kept getting heavily covered in snow making it dangerous to go down or climb up. After calling the front office they came and removed the snow from our steps (very good and responsive) however if they just provided a shovel i would have done it myself much more often making it safe for my friends and family to freely travel in and out of the townhouse.

Supplies: The townhouse was stocked with very little paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen towels, sponges, etc. I hand washed (barehand scrubbed) dishes the first night because there was no sponges for dishes. On arrival there was 1 1/4 rolls of paper towels, 2 kitchen towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper. We stayed for 3 days and 3 nights with 5 adults. The next day I went to the Village and purchased toilet paper, sponges, and paper towels.

I paid good money to stay here and we had a great time. With the convenience of location there were many small inconveniences. With upfront communication and a little attention to detail all of this could have been alleviated. Because of the location I WOULD stay here again. I would just communicate with the booking agent/management my expectation and then bring a shovel and hatchet/axe with me.

Owner's Response: Jeff, We are so sorry that you had issues with the unit and were inconvenienced with purchasing supplies. We wish you had called or e-mailed us. We have staff at the complex daily and would have gladly brought to you more supplies and kindling for the fireplace. Snow shovels are like gold this winter. This will be the second shovel purchased for the unit this season. My staff did not realize it was missing from the closet upstairs, and we would have gladly brought you a replacement. Again our apologies for you inconvenience. Long Beach

Great value all the way around!

My family and I stayed here over MLK Day weekend and it was fantastic! It ended up being such a great deal for us for a holiday weekend (good thing we booked early), not even taking into account its amazing location so close to Canyon Lodge and the 2 car garage. The unit itself had plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children; it was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had enough pots, pans, utensils and dishes for us to make all kinds of meals, and we really appreciated all the pre-chopped wood for the fireplace and the free wifi! We did get to use the spa one of the nights and it was great; the facilities were clean and nicely kept. The staff at the complex were very nice and helpful as well--we had a great experience and will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits!
