About Maritza Greene (owner) and Rachel Sanders (property manager)

My husband and I love travel, adventure and meeting new people. Eddie grew up in the city but spent many many summers and weekends helping his grandfather plow these fields, chase cattle and sheep and four wheel on the old Willis jeep before 4 wheelers were ever invented. Years later he would move to the old home place, raise and teach his 3 children to love and take care of the land. Our goal is to live off the land and one day transform the farm to the days of power run from an old water wheel.

Why Maritza Greene (owner) and Rachel Sanders (property manager) chose Blue Ridge Mountains

We want to share the beauty and uniqueness of our farm. This property dates back to the settlers in the early 1800; this is 6 generations of Greene's. A unique experience in country living.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Peaceful serenity, surrounded by beautiful christmas trees and the best spring water you'll ever taste.

Nice, quite, clean

  • 5 of 5

Me & my group of 10 stayed here for our second year in a row and it was more pleasant than the first. We took advantage of the grill, fire pit & other resources. Will return agian.

Comfy old house next to water bottling plant...

  • 1 of 5

The older home was surprisingly comfortable.

The problem, you won't see in the listing pictures are as follows...

Water bottling plant 70 feet from back door (the family bottles spring water found on their property)

Eight foot chain link fence with barbed wire separating the yard from the water bottling plant.

Monday morning, hustle and bustle of workers, tractor trailer picking up product, and atv being driven all around home as the old house is situated below the family's main home

My point is that the listing and pictures sell privacy and seclusion in a mountain setting with a large creek across from house... when in reality, the old house is situated in the middle of a loud "work zone" with a small stream across the road in front of the property.

And, to add insult to injury... there are no blinds to in the dining room, kitchen, or living room... where all are completely open during the work day for anyone to pier through. So much for privacy and seclusion....

If you're looking for a rental that you actually want to spend time in for peace, quiet, and nature... this is NOT your place....

Country Farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 stayed at the farmhouse for 4 days. The house is nestled in the middle of a Christmas tree farm with a large creek in front . It is completely equipped with everything you may need. We were greeted daily by the owners dog "Moses" who enjoyed taking us on hikes around the property. It is centrally located to all local attractions as well as The Blue Ridge Parkway. The owners are really nice and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed as well. We will definitely be back!

The stay was pleasant and satisfying.

  • 5 of 5

A couple of friends and I rented the home to get away from school and work for our winter break and absolutely loved it. We plan on coming back in the future due to the close relativity to ski slopes.

A Comfortable Get-away

  • 5 of 5

We just got home from a long weekend in this beautiful Farmhouse. It was a nice get away for our family of 6.

The kitchen was great, everything we needed to cook all weekend was provided. The owners were super responsive and friendly. They really made sure we had a great stay.

The property has a nice creek that you can easily walk to and several short trails you can walk. If you want a nice day/night out you can travel into Boone in no time.

We loved the place and are planning to stay again next year!
