About the property

Beautifully furnished one bedroom, one bath condo with balcony

This condo on the second floor comes beautifully furnished with a fully stocked kitchen, bunk beds and a fold out sofa. The balcony has 2 captain chairs and a table with 4 chairs to enjoy a meal with the sound of the surf and what a view! Be sure to check out my short video from the balcony. 50 inch flat screen TV in the living room and a 32 inch flat screen in the bedroom for those late night shows. you can be on the beach or in our guest only pool in 60 seconds to enjoy the sun and read a book. No smoking indoors and no pets, HOA rule.

We accept paypal.

Please note that if you expand the location map we are actually located in the 3rd. building traveling south.

Our property has undergone major renovation during 2016. The pool has been completely refurbished and with new decking and fencing, all of the old sandbags have been dug up and removed with new bags installed properly and in front of the buildings, leaving the beach completely free of everything but sand.

Located at the south end of the island, it is in the last complex next to the Ft. Fisher state park. It is located within walking distance of the museum and about a mile from the NC ferry dock and the NC Aquarium.

It has a kitchen fully stocked and ready. Beautifully furnished and stocked with linen , towels.

Jump on the ferry and head to Southport NC if you like and visit some good restaurants and antique shops, the fare is only $5 a carload. Also down that way is the NC Aquarium which is a great place for young and old alike.

Drive north a couple of miles and visit Carolina Beach NC. They have some more great places to eat and shop.

Also there is a large boat dock where you can charter a fishing trip. Don't miss their boardwalk which is loaded with things to see and do.

Kure Beach has a pier to fish from and a small shop with some very good icecream. Last year the town completed a boardwalk of their own with a pavilion that always has some type of entertainment going on. In short Kure Beach is the way beaches used to be before the big developers entered into communities and threw up there big hotels. Kure Beach does not allow any structure to be built over 30 ft. high.

About Gary Linder

I am a retired system examiner for the office of the New York state Comptroller. Jim is a retired diesel mechanic who still works at it part time.

Owning on the shore was a life long dream of ours which we accomplished in 1999. We love the time we spend at our unit and hope all our guests enjoy their stay as much as we do.

Gary Linder purchased this condo in 1999

Why Gary Linder chose Southern Coast

We Love North Carolina, and we like the fact that we are located right next to the Fort Fisher state park and a short drive of about 1 mile to the ferry that goes to Southport NC.

Kure Beach is like the beaches used to be in the 60's and 70's as a matter of fact no structure over 30 feet is allowed to be built in Kure Beach. This unit is walking distance to the Ft. Fisher Museum which is just about 300 feet down the road on the west side.

What makes this condo unique

Taking our car one mile down the road to the NC Ferry and for $5 a carload we cross the intracoastal to Southport NC to shop the antique shops and enjoy a fine restaurant.

Also we are that close to the NC aquarium, it is really nice, the kids will love it!

Kure Beach recently completed a very nice boardwalk and a Pavilion for special events. There is a fishing pier for the fishermen along with a bait and tackle shop and some very good ice-cream. The pier and the boardwalk are about 1.5 miles north of the condo.

Wonderful condo

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful place to stay if you are looking for a quiet area. The condo is next to the Ft. Fisher historical site that offers hiking pathes, beaches and marshes. Very little traffic and we had chairs and an umbrella set up at the public beach about 1/2 mile away. Just enough people to encourage people watching but definitely not crowded. Also, free parking everywhere.

The condo was decorated nicely and so very clean which was very important to us. Everything we needed was provided. Gary was there to check us in and show us around the place and gave us wonderful recommendations on places to eat. Also any questions prior to arrival he answered very quickly. Great customer service.

Would I come back here - definitely! There were several amenities that were provided that we did not use like a washer/dryer in the condo and a very nice pool on the property.

Easy to find, convenient and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

It is clean and very convenient to the rest of Kure Beach. But at the same time it is far enough south to avoid the crowds on the beach. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Awesome week at Kure Beach

  • 5 of 5

Just a great time at this condo. Well maintained place and enjoyed it a lot.

Only negative things were heavy footed neighbors upstairs and the bed was too hard.

Other than that it was most enjoyable !

Perfect piece of Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We needed to escape the hustle of New York City, and boy were we not disappointed. I am so happy we found this little paradise on the end of Kure Beach. The apartment was very clean, quiet, and came fully stocked with almost everything we could need for our stay (towels and linens, all kinds of dishes and utensils, beach chairs and toys, and more). A home away from home, we welcomed each morning with a glorious view of the ocean and breakfast on the patio. Some mornings if we were lucky, we saw dolphins and other marine life. The beach in front was surprisingly secluded and not overrun with people, despite it being Easter weekend. We were able to soak up some rays, play in the water, and beachcomb with the locals. Other amenities we especially loved were the built-in bed units which extremely comfortable. This is where our toddler slept. She had fun in her "fort" and felt at home each night. The apartment was conveniently located as it was a quick walk to Fort Fisher, a short drive to the aquarium and the Southport ferry, and only a 2hr drive to South Myrtle Beach where we got to go to the Alligator Farm. Wilmington wasn't too far away either and we enjoyed exploring the area - fresh local farmers' markets, pick your own strawberries, horse drawn carriage tours, and more. One of the last amenities we were able to enjoy was the BBQ and picnic area for the property. We had a BBQ on our last day and it was a nice end to our trip. We can't wait to go back to visit. We will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful days, beautiful weather and a relaxing place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I am so glad we were able to stay in such a clean, comfortable condo and be so close to the beach. The property is small and quiet and the setting is peaceful. The condo was nicely decorated and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a beach house. An added and unexpected bonus was that the bed was freshly made and the owners supplied bath towels. I hope to come back again.

Cozy and Inviting

  • 5 of 5

The pictures just do not do this property justice! The bedroom was very roomy with quite a lot of drawer and closet space. The closet even had hangers! There is an extra closet in the hallway where we found sand chairs and boogie boards. My sons ages 14 and 10 were very comfortable in the bunk beds. We even used the pull out couch one evening to have a family night while watching TV. Every morning we ate out on the balcony and enjoyed our view of the ocean. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of some dolphins! Plenty of room for parking. Convenient beach access. We enjoyed jumping in the pool every once in awhile too. Must check out Fort Fisher Civil War Battle Museum and the Aquarium. I liked being at the end of Kure beach as it wasn't as crowded as being on Carolina. Really just can't say enough positive things about our stay. Gary gave us some good tips upon our arrival, very personable and friendly!! If we return we will definitively be booking early to insure we can stay here again.
