The ROBIN's NEST...your jumping off point for exploring the Finger Lakes.
The 'Robin's Nest' overlooks the northeast shore of Lake Seneca and sits in the sweetspot of the fun and excitement of the Finger Lake region. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets from your private beach and dock and sip a glass of wine as you relax in the hot tub at the end of a busy day.
We are minutes away from the Ventosa, Billsboro, and Three Brothers Wineries, and, within a 30/45 minute radius there are over 30 other exclusive and exceptional wineries, breweries, and cideries to visit and explore.
For those so inclined, we are 25 minutes away from the new Del Lago Resort and Casino which is right off exit 41 on the NYS Thruway.
We are 15 minutes away from the City of Geneva and many local restaurants, stores, and shopping areas.
Hobart and William Smith Colleges are close by offering many cultural and athletic activities and venues. We are a short drive to many local farmers markets where you can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables.
We are centrally located to Watkins Glen Speedway, Watkins Glen State Park, Taughhannock Falls, Montour Falls, and Sampson State Park.
There is ample parking for vehicles and a boat trailer, and you can unload your belongings under a covered patio without climbing stairs. There is a huge lawn area on the other side of a lazy private drive perfect for summer games and activities with the kids.
Enter the cottage into a large living room with a large flat screen TV, and a spiral staircase to a loft bedroom with a queen size bed and a half bath. A full kitchen, dining room and full bathroom are on the ground floor. There are two downstairs bedrooms; one with a full size bed, and the other bedroom has a futon pullout bed.
On the lakeside, relax in the sunroom or sit on the deck as you enjoy the fabulous sunsets. At the lakeside, enjoy the areas best fishing or just chill in the evening as you 'fire up' the bar-b-que pit and roast s'mores as your young ones wait for that special summer treat!

About PETER C. ALEXANDERSON
Robin and Peter live year round in the Hudson Valley area of New York. They have managed vacation rentals in other areas of the state for over 20 years. They have many friends and family in the Rochester area, and they plan on spending more time in the Finger Lakes in the years ahead.
PETER C. ALEXANDERSON purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why PETER C. ALEXANDERSON chose Geneva
Robin and Peter have boated on the Hudson River and beyond for the last twenty years and they intend to continue their boating adventures as they spend more time in the Finger Lakes area. Well..their lakehouse fits the bill! The 'Robin's Nest' is not only in the 'sweetspot' of most Finger Lakes activity, but its dock and lake frontage is minutes from the Seneca-Cayuga Canal which links Lake Seneca to Cayuga Lake, the Erie Canal, the Great Lakes, and eventually to the St. Lawrence Seaway! As they say...location, location, location!!
What makes this Cottage unique
Exceptional fishing, boating, sporting activities from your own private dock on Lake Seneca, in the heart of New York State's Wine Country, minutes from robust wineries, local colleges, fruit stands and farmers markets? It doesn't get any better than this!

We've been vacationing in the Finger Lakes for the last 10 years and this is by far the best rental we have had. The owners are very accommodating and the home was well stocked with paper products etc. Beautiful view from the deck and beach area and nice sturdy dock. The hot tub was awesome too and also has a perfect view of the sunset. Very peaceful! We hope to come back next year.
Relaxing lakeside getaway
This cozy cottage was just as described, with outstanding views of Lake Seneca from the deck and hot tub.
On arrival we were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay from a local winery, which we enjoyed while watching the beautiful sunset.
Weather was a little unpredictable during our stay and this prevented us from kayaking as much as we would have liked. It was great having the double Kayak though, and we enjoyed taking our son with special needs out on the lake.
There are plenty of restaurants in Geneva, but our favorite was the Crow’s Nest, a short drive up the road, which has pretty views over Seneca Marina and State Park.
We had no reason to contact the owners as everything was perfect! We would definitely recommend Robin’s Nest for a relaxing getaway.
Thank you Robin and Peter.
Thank you Neil and family. Robin and I are thrilled that you had a relaxing and fun filled week at the lake. Thanks again!
Wonderful spot-would love to come back
Our family stayed here this past September, and it was a great house for a weekend family gathering. The lake is right there, it's on a quiet street, and everything was ideal for us.
Thank you for making this wonderful rental available.
Thank you for your very nice comments.
Couple from Pennsylvania
This is our second visit to Robin's Nest and we hope to return again next year. Beautiful place to relax and unwind with spectacular sunset views from the hot tub or down by the fire pit. We enjoyed biking Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva, with a picnic lunch & the trail near Waterloo. A gorgeous day kayaking up the lake to the canal, was Breathtaking! Planned an afternoon with a hike at Watkins Glenn and of course the many visits to the many wonderful wineries. Our favorite is Ventrosa with pizza on the outside deck overlooking the vineyards and entertainment on Wednesday night. Neighbors are sweet and very friendly. Such Peace while relaxing, watching the night fall. Peter & Robin are very sweet & so accommadating. Any questions or requests we had they were quickly answered. We stayed until the last possible moment... They are so personalable, making us feel like Friends.
Peter and Robin were very responsive to all of our questions, and to the few surprises we encountered (the hot tub decided to break, but was fixed promptly). The location is great for Geneva and wineries, and the view of the lake from the hot tub is spectacular.
