About the property

High quality luxury villa very close to the main harbor of Kea. The house was built in 2005, using high quality materials and technics. It is built at the very end of a rocky cape facing west/northwest, with a fantastic 360 degrees view of the entrance of the Gulf of Agios Nicolaos (were the main harbor, the marina and the island’s recreation area are located at a walking distance), of the fantastic sunsets, the sea and the close islands, as well as the inland and Hora, Kea’s capital on the hills behind.

The property consists of two separate/independent, but still very close to each other, buildings: The first includes the main living room (with a grand piano) and dining room, the kitchen, the master bedroom, a bathroom and a quests’ WC. The second, with a private entrance, includes a small apartment with one bedroom, a small living room which can be used as an auxiliary bedroom for 1-2 persons and a bathroom. At the back of this apartment, there is a guest room –also with a private entrance- consisted of one bedroom and a bathroom. All rooms have fantastic view.

The house is stone built, the traditional building technic of Kea. All rooms have wooden (oak) floors, except bathrooms (marble floors) and kitchen (tiles).

There is central heating and hot water 24/24 a day. Ceiling fans (in all bedrooms) provide coolness whenever is needed.

Large verandas are all around the house, where guests can enjoy various views and the spectacular summer sunsets, as well as the August full moon. The front veranda is the main one of the house, where the open air dining room is located and where guests enjoy all the meals of the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator, cooker and grill, dishwasher and washing machine, plus a lot of the necessary pots, plates and glasses, good enough for a party as well!

In front of the house, there is a rocky beach, not to be used when the sea is rough. At a walking distance (600 meters) there is a quiet sandy beach with only a few swimmers.

For quest arriving by boat/car, there is an ample parking area for 3-4 private cars, while for the ones preferring a more luxurious way of transportation, a helipad is also available in the plot.

This house has all the advantages one wants from a house: Can be used either as a holiday one or a permanent. It is located very close to the main harbor of the island (where shops, restaurants and bar are), and still isolated at the top of a hill, some 60 meters from the sea, and 300 meters from the closest house. It is a house like the one described by Frank Lloyd Wright as a house 'of a hill' not 'on a hill'.

What makes this villa unique

The house has a breathtaking view of the sea and the entrance of Agios Nicolaos Bay, one of the largest natural harbors of Greece. One can spend hours lazing on an armchair and watching all kinds of boats coming in and going out from the main harbor of the island. And if he feels like meeting people, he can walk a 15 minutes walk to the harbor and enjoy a dinner or a couple of drinks. Very practical for families with children at the age of 15 -18, who can meet friends and go to a disco, and still, in absolute safety, return home with a taxi at a price (depending on the distance) of no more than 10 Euros.

This summer (2015) I spent 3 weeks in kea with my wife and a couple of friends; we were so lucky.

Kea is an amazing island and the accommodation was over every expectative.

Petros's home is the perfect accommodation to enjoy the beautiful Kea: built on a promontory, you can see the Aegean sea all over, wake up looking the sun rise and sip a drink on the big terrace looking the sun set.

The furniture is brand new and so stylish.

Petros was a perfect housewarmings: he leaved a note with every kinds of tips ( restaurant, bar, shop, beaches and so all) and I felt free during all the holiday to contact him for every necessities.

What can I say, the island is a jewel; it must have to be visit and the perfect way to enjoy is to choose Petros place for accommodation.
