Our family and several repeat renters believe our cabin is a wonderful place to visit. It usually books up early. However, we would like to note a few things that will help set your expectations in case it is not a fit for your needs:
* The beach along this side of the lake is rocky (not sandy).
* There is no garbage pick-up at the lake, and guests are responsible for disposing of their own refuse.
* The restriction on the number of guests (12) staying at the cabin and the no pets policies are strictly enforced and non-negotiable.
* There is limited parking for only three vehicles.
* There are quiet hours from 10pm - 9am in respect of our long-time lake neighbors.
Please feel free to send an inquiry before booking if you prefer to make your payment via check and avoid the VRBO Service Fee.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
Our family has enjoyed annual vacations here since 1975,
never tiring of the beauty and fun adventures the area provides.
We have not missed one year and now the grandchildren are equally as
Lyle Beckstrom (Owner); Michelle Beckstrom (Agent); Aimee Escalante (Agent) purchased this cabin in 1975
The family discovered the area when visiting relatives. The two families
visited Hills resort and were charmed by the beauty of the area
and excited about the possibility of enjoying the lake and its
serenity along with views and activities that come with it.
Views from cabin deck, great room, bedrooms, dock, fire pit.
Canoe, pedal boat, and 2 kayaks included in cabin rental.
Hiking, fishing, and biking are popular activities around the lake.
Boats, paddle boards, water skis etc. available for rent in Coolin and at
I highly recommend this lovely cabin! This is becoming a tradition for our family on Priest Lake at the Cabin, which we pretend is ours for a week. Everything is clean and cozy; with lots of amenities. It's like the owners have left their personal belongings behind for us to enjoy. From great WiFi, to puzzles and games, to a wonderfully stocked kitchen, to kayaks and a canoe and a paddleboat, a swim mat to play on. There is lots of space for everyone to sleep or escape. A great deck to watch the sunsets. A fabulous dock with plenty of chairs to hang out on; along with plenty of room for our boat. The beach and the swimming area are great! There's a fire pit; stocked with firewood. Plenty of bathrooms and all of it very clean. The owners are very easy to deal with and readily available. In short, this cabin tradition is one that has created many warm memories for our family. We will return!
Priest Lake is a pristine and awesome place. The Beckstrom cabin is in a fantastic location for you to enjoy every aspect of the lake.
We found it very easy to get to all the places we wanted to explore by boat. The dock and boat lift are great assets as well as the beach and
all the water toys they make available to use. The beach fires were so easy because of the nice wood already stacked and at your disposal.
The house is laid out well with plenty of privacy and very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The whole house was clean and ready to move right in.
The kitchen/living room are great and had everything you need. The deck provided a wonderful place to have outdoor meals and watch awesome sunsets. The owners have thought of every detail and graciously provide so much for the renters comfort. They are really very accommodating and respond quickly to any of your questions. Our family of eight had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property.
This is a wonderful place. My wife and I spent a week here with our children and grandchildren and loved it. The cabin has been remodeled recently and it shows. The kitchen opens up to the family room to make a very nice, large open gathering area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great, and having four bedrooms and three baths for the family is nice. Individual room heaters do an excellent job of taking the cool edge off in the morning. The cabin is very clean and kept up well, and the owners are very nice and easy to work with. We’ll definitely be looking to return.
Thanks to the owners for making our annual get-away to Priest Lake enjoyable and relaxing!
The owners and their family provided prompt, clear communication regarding all aspects of the rental process from initial inquiry through return of security deposit; very responsive through email portal.
Their home away-from-home is the perfect set-up for a group get-away, be it family or friends: well-stocked kitchen and supplies, plenty of comfortable, private sleeping space and towels for both indoor and beach use, clean/fresh home and bathrooms.
Great view from the deck, spacious, stable dock and plenty of chairs, kayaks, and beach-side fire ring to use when there is no burn ban in place.
The one and only down-side to our experience: Late check-in/early check-out not well suited to a 2-day weekend stay with no late check-out available - we didn't inquire about early check-in.
We'd return in a heartbeat!
Indian Creek State Park is about 2-3 miles North of the cabin.
Natural waterslide in Lionshead canyon by car or by foot if
a very avid hiker.
Fishing guides available in area.
Huckleberrying an option if you can find a good spot.
The ice cream and milkshakes (try the huckleberry!) are wonderful at the Indian Creek store located inside the campground -- a nice canoe or kayak trip or a few miles by car.
