Guestbook comments from the manager

This house is beautiful and what a perfect "headquarters" for our daughter's wedding weekend, as well as a great place to relax after the wedding activities were finished. We live in Fort Collins and definitely hope to return for another visit to Pinewood Meadows in the future. It was awesome! Comfortable, spacious, updated and very peaceful.

A great location with great views!

  • 5 of 5

The house is even nicer in person than in the pictures. The view is incredible, we couldn't believe it. The location is perfect, very close to the National Park entrance, as well as Estes Park's main strip. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay very much. My parents got a big kick out of the very cool vintage oven and stove top. We will most definitely be coming back to stay here when we visit Estes Park again. We loved it! Thanks so much!

Beautiful property and home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at your home. We would drink our coffee in front of the house that over looks a meadow watching for any wildlife. We had several mule deer that would come visit and even a hawk. We would watched a bull elk with his cows over on the next street every evening. That was exciting. The home was very comfortable and contained everything we needed. The notes that were pasted everywhere were a little unnerving but we understood why you had to have them. We did not cook while at the home but we loved the old oven. We had never seen or heard of that brand but thought it would be fun to have. Your home had all the amenities that we needed, it was clean and well maintained. Your home comes with a beautiful history and that made it even more special to stay there. Your home had all the amenities that we needed

The only problem we had was the two ceiling lights in the living room would not work so we just moved the lamp over and we were fine. Thank you for sharing your unique home!! Estes Park is one of our favorites always during the elk rut. This year the trees were breathtaking and the weather was perfect for hiking and exploring.

Owner's Response: We are pleased your stay was a success. For future reference there is a slider/dimmer switch that controls the lights you had trouble with. The slider was in the off position, this was the source of your problem with the lights in the living room. Thanks for staying with us!

Bugling elk night visitor under full September moon

  • 5 of 5

We are three adults from the Midwest and loved the meadows and mountain views, peacefulness, bird life, rockeries, pine trees and visiting wildlife. The house is comfortable, impeccably clean and well-equipped, the perfect combination of rustic setting and modern conveniences. No need for air conditioning or heating, just open and close the windows at the right time and enjoy the fresh air. The weather was glorious during our whole stay, in spite of one very windy day. One night we were treated to a bugling elk walking past the house, under a full moon. Downtown Estes Park is easily accessible, as are several entrances to RMNP, where hiking the trails every day was our priority. Maybe a bedside reading light in the upstairs bedroom would be nice, but not essential. We would not hesitate to recommend the house to friends, or to return on another occasion, and are grateful to the owners for the opportunity to have a wonderful vacation.

I had my family come to Colorado for the week and we spent 3 days in the Estes area. The property was simply amazing. We really enjoyed the mornings with a cup of coffee taking in the scenery from the patio. There is nothing negative I have to say about the property. It is close to town, but feels very private. It was clean and everything has been updated. A truly amazing experience! Highly recommended.

Great views, pleasant location

  • 5 of 5

We had an extended family of 8 stay here and included the mother-in-law suite. One person used an air mattress they had brought instead of sharing the bed or using the couch in the suite. The suite is a separate building just a few feet away - that wasn't clear in the listing, but it worked fine for the grandfather in our group to take naps away from everyone else.

The house is located well. It is just a couple miles or so outside of the main part of Estes Park. Far enough out to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough that it's easy to go in for dining, groceries, or strolling. A little far to walk into town for most people (especially if you've been hiking during the day).

Great views of mountains, and a large field where a few elk passed through. Large windows in the house. Several doors with screens - we opened all those and let the fresh air blow through.

Overall we really enjoyed staying in this house, and would certainly consider it again.

Amazing "Home Away from Home!"

  • 5 of 5

We could not have picked a better place to stay for our time in Estes Park! It is beautifully maintained and decorated, we did not lack for anything we needed. We loved the views from just about every window; especially the big picture window by the Dining room table! It was an added blessing to be able to meet the Property Managers, Steve & Lorna:) When we get a chance to come out to Estes Park again, we will definitely see if this house is available. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Estes Park!
