Perfect for Families
Great place! Walking distance to Canyon chair lifts. You can see the chair lift from the balcony. I loved the master bedroom with a king size bed and my boys loved the second bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (4 total beds). Great living room with over sized couch. The only negative is that it is a little overdue to be refurbished.
I go to mammoth to ride the bike park. This was the best yet I've stayed at.
I look for a few things at places when riding mammoth during the summer: nice interior, lots of beds, private garage, and close to a running lift. This had it all. I will be asking to reserve this place next year, this is now my go to for my annual trip.
Overall decent for the price.
Only complaint, place wasn't really clean.
nice place, clean and beautiful
we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the house and by the furnishings. Comfy beds and couch, plenty of room, good functional kitchen. We enjoyed the pool and spa.
Management was quick to respond to drain a toilet that got clogged.
Downside was that the master bedroom was very warm the first night. It could use some airing before guests arrive. Also, the garage door needs looking at - it got stuck repeatedly instead of automatically closing. It was also weird that there was no coffee to be found for the (specialty) coffee maker.
A good rental place that I would definitely recommend!
Perfect condo for our family of 4 and fabulous location
We stayed one week with our two daughters 11 and 14. The main living area, kitchen and kids bath has been nicely remodeled. The huge couch fit all 4 of us and we loved the comfy throws they had everywhere. The master bath didn't make the remodel list but it's workable, and the master bedroom is a good size.
The location was perfect. We were right next to Canyon Lodge and it was a short trip downhill to the Village shops and restaurants. We often ride our bikes there (but it's a good climb back home!). We were also right off Lake Mary Drive so it was a nice bike ride up to the lakes basin area.
We highly recommend the updated Mountain Bike park on Mammoth Mountain. We heard it's the largest bike park in the nation. My husband rode every day and our girls ventured many blue and green bike paths on the mountain. Riding down the backside of mountain from the gondola is a thrill. Discovery Chair was another favorite ride.
Tip: You are allowed to run/ hike the bike trails before 9am and I enjoyed a lovely trail run from Village on Uptown trail and then Downtown trail one morning. Another great run was the Lake Basin path up and around Horseshoe Lake.
We also went horseback riding at Convict Lake. Gorgeous!! Josue is the wrangler and he was awesome. There is a five star restaurant there we didn't get to try this time but we heard rave reviews.
We would love to return to this unit in the Winter as the location would be great for skiing as well.
PS. Our only very small suggestion is to get better pillows. Guests may want to bring their own pillows for sleeping as the ones there were a bit uncomfortable for us.
Thanks for a great stay!!
Great, central location!
Really nice condo with all the amenities you could need. Washer/dryer, any and all kitchen appliances, easy living space. We will definitely rent this condo again next year!
World class skiing and snowboarding on Mammoth Mountain in winter. Endless summer fun with fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and almost any other outdoor activity. The Town of Mammoth Lakes has plenty of shopping venues and a wide range of restaurant choices.
