About Heather Reed
We're both from Santa Cruz. Mike, my husband owns a martial arts school and I am a web designer. Mike is an avid, maybe even expert fisher and he loves staying at our Winter Wonderland cabin in Running springs for the fishing, and snowboarding. I am really into hiking and skiing so I love the and easy access to Snow Valley and Snow Summit.
Heather Reed purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Heather Reed chose Arrowbear Lake
We love this cabin because we can have the convenient location with the peacefulness of being in the forest. The cabin is a block away from Arrowbear Lake, a small seasonal lake, and it has a beautiful mountain and lake views all year round. Yet it is also only 4 miles from Snow Valley ski resorts, 17 miles from Big Bear Lake ski resorts and 2 miles to stores and restaurants.

Good but not great.
The house and location was great in my opinion. The only negative experience we had there was my niece cutting her finger pretty good on a piece of glass hidden in the carpet. Also found a 1.5in nail in the carpet as well. For my family at least we like to walk around the house either in socks or barefoot so you can see how that could be a problem. However, minus that everything else was fine. The reason I'm giving this a 3 and not a zero is because Heather responded quickly to our concerns. She may need to hire a new cleaning crew for them to miss things like that because it reflects badly on her.
Our Stay was amazing. Short but sweet. We were all just able to sit back and relax and enjoy our stay. Heather was very quick responding to any question I had prior to our stay.
Loved it, but...
It breaks my heart to give anything less than 5 stars because of how awesome the place was and how accommodating the owner was. The place? Awesome! Nearby stuff to do? So much fun! Neighbors? Awful! As we were arriving maybe a few hours after, we went to the market and had some friends stay back to set up, while doing so they heard a bang on the door and yelling to come out! We parked across the street out of the way but one of the neighbors was infuriated that we parked in "his" spot. He threatened them telling them to come outside and talk to him. After about 2 minutes he came back and began screaming at my friends. They were getting ready to dial 911 as we got back and moved the car causing the trouble. Beyond that, I went outside at about 8 PM one of the nights and talked quietly on the phone, and the neighbor behind the house (quite a ways back) started flashing their flashlight at me and shushing me, this is at 8:00 at night, nothing too late! So beyond the overall stay which I can't say how much I loved it, be cautious of the extremely rude neighbors!
The family and I had a wonderful experience!
The cabin was amazing in a great location. We definitely will recommend this place and will want to come back!
Great place, has everything necessary! Comfortable stay :)
Super cute and inviting-close to skiing and cozy place to return to. The snow storm however held us up when trying to leave and digging the cars out was exhausting, but what else do you expect in the mountains??? Thanks so much!
We had 9 adults and four small children, and we all had a great time and it was comfortable. Theres plenty of places to sleep, although there's not many blankets or towels. So whoever goes, make sure to pack a couple of blankets and towels. Mike, the owner, is really nice and gets back to you really quick when you have questions! He was also very helpful with directions and with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this cabin and we will for sure be back to visit!
