About Mike and Cathy
Mike and I lived and worked in the Chicago area for all of our lives. Mike was in Industrial construction and I was in real estate. We have traveled extensively and decided to settle in Tennessee for the second half of our lives. We found Wears Valley, one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, and decided to make it our home. We love the cabin and want others to experience the magic. Its our only cabin so it gets all of our attention. Only our grand-kids get more.
Mike and Cathy purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Mike and Cathy chose Sevierville
We chose Wears Valley for the outstanding beauty and its close proximity to the Smoky Mountain National Park and Pigeon Forge. We can enjoy all the shopping and attractions, but return to the peace of the valley in 10 minutes. We made our home here after retiring from the Chicago area, and could not be happier.
What makes this Cabin unique
We don't stay often at the cabin as it is usually booked, and we live only a mile away. But every so often we will spend the night just to enjoy the beautiful views, and relax on the deck. It is such a pretty spot, and easy to get to. It is not sitting on top of a mountain, but it still has incredible views. Life is perfect when at the cabin.

We are ALWAYS pleased when we stay in your cabin.
I believe this is our fourth stay in your cabin and it has ALWAYS been a good experience. The cabin is clean, no lingering odors and always well stocked. We have also told friend about this excellent cabin.
Thanks again for a pleasant cabin experience.
Serene Stay with a Great Cabin!
Mountain Magic Cabin was a perfect getaway for me and my daughter. The setting is beautiful and the cabin has everything you could possibly need. It is very comfortable and the location is super convenient to EVERYTHING while still keeping you in a peaceful setting!!
Great location, great cabin
Just the right cabin. Not too far, not too close to nearby destinations. Cabin was clean and in great shape - with plenty of sleeping room for our family of four. Bathrooms look to have been recently remodeled and were great. Back porch looks west for awesome sunsets from the hot tub!
Super clean and beautiful views
No need to worry if you forgot to pack anything. Everything we could think to bring was already provided. The cabin was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The owners were very kind and professional. All-in-all we would definitely stay here again.
Home away from home!!
This was my first Christmas away from home and the cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas and made me feel very much at home. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend this cabin for your mountain experience.
Charming cabin in a perfect location
Really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Magic....every amenity has been provided. Only five miles from the Metcalf Bottoms entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and so quiet, private and relaxing. Spacious deck with a wonderful hot tub and plenty of outdoor seating. The living room has a large flat-screen TV above the gas fireplace and the sofa and loveseat are very comfortable. Great tiled walk-in shower in the bathroom and also a jetted tub. The queen bed in the bedroom was a little hard for our taste, but we loved the décor and appreciated the walk-in closet. Very nice kitchen with plenty of seating. The upstairs loft had an additional television and there was also an additional bedroom and full bath. It seemed larger than its stated 1200 square feet.
The Wears Valley is beautiful, with rolling hills and dotted with antique shops and small restaurants. It was so nice to be a few miles away from the six lanes of traffic on the Parkway through Pigeon Forge.....and yet close enough to visit both there and Gatlinburg if we wanted.
We loved how the owners have ensured that the Mountain Magic cabin is great for both couples and families, stocked with books, DVDs, games and plenty of recommendations for days inside the park. Definitely glad we stayed here--it was wonderful!!
A local swimming pool is available for $5.00 a day, this includes catch and release fishing ponds.
Dollywood, Water Park, Skiing, Smoky Mountain National Park, Helicopter Rides, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, tubing, great dining and shopping. NASCAR go-carts, Out-let Malls, Arts and Crafts community, lots of great shows and attractions. Make sure to visit the Island in Pigeon Forge, lots of great things there. Zip lining and the newest attraction is mountain sledding. See the new Hollywood Wax Museum with King Kong on top of the building. SMOKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK of course is the biggest attraction. Enjoy Cades Cove, a truly unique experience. Horseback riding, and carriage rides in the Cove. Beautiful picnic area.
Winter in the area is a lot of fun, Winterfest is a feast of Holiday lights and Christmas shows.
