About the property

Two Bedroom Two Bath, Fully Equipped Kitchen, Laundry, Wood Stove, Satellite TV

The ‘Homestead’ is located in Historic Grand Lake Village. This cozy log cabin is the perfect Colorado family vacation or a romantic getaway. Known as the 'Western Gateway' to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake is Colorado's largest natural lake. The village with its old west buildings and historic boardwalk will make you feel as though you stepped back in time.

The log cabin with its “gone by era rustic charm exterior” gives way to a beautifully decorated interior with all the modern amenities. Its two bedroom two bath, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, wood stove, satellite TV and internet, makes a great vacation for a family of 6 or a couple on a romantic getaway.

Imagine in the summer/fall enjoy a morning cup of coffee out on the deck around the fire table as you watch the sunrise over the mountains or warming up to the wood stove after returning from a day of snowmobiling.

Take a short walk to the historic Grand Lake Village where you will find restaurants, bars and quaint stores. Continue your walk to the sandy beach, dip your toes in the water or sit and watch the beautiful sail boats glide across the deep blue lake. No matter what season it is, Grand Lake Colorado has an abundance of activities year round.

In Grand Lake you will find activities for everyone; Access snowmobile trails directly from the cabin in the winter. Horseback riding, kayaking, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, live theater, and much more. Rocky Mountain National Park offers miles of hiking and skiing trails.

About Jennifer Remy

In the fall of 2005 we came to Grand Lake to view the trees and have a nice dinner. While walking through the town we stopped to look at properties for sale at one of the real estate offices. As we stood there day dreaming about someday owning our own cabin the owner of the real estate office asked if we had any questions. We ask a few questions about the town and the area. She then told us about a property she had just listed and told us where to find it if we want to go take a look. We politely said thank you and that we would go take a look. We had no intentions of going to look as we were only day dreaming. As we turned to leave, she said “wait let me take you there” now we felt obligated, so we said what the heck it can’t hurt to look. Needless to say by the time we left Grand Lake that night we had put an offer on the cabin and the rest is history. I guess you can say “we came to Grand Lake to have dinner, but instead we bought a cabin”.

Jennifer Remy purchased this cabin in 2005

Magical Christmas

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, grandson and I had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin in Colorado.

We were fortunate to get snow all day on Christmas day which made it magical for us.

The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and immaculate! The décor was beautiful, and perfect for the holidays!! A couple of recommendations - Instructions on how to use the DVD player, we couldn't find a separate remote. It would be nice to have some sort of drawers to put away luggage in.

Also, for those from the south, make sure you have an AWD vehicle. The house sits up on a hill, so in snowy conditions it would be handy. We didn't switch out our rental vehicle and chose to get some cardio in on the vacation by parking at the bottom of the hill! :) Thank you again for everything! We hope to visit this awesome cabin again!!

Adorable, Cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cabin. As soon as I walked in the door, I fell in love! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Not to mention, the decorations were adorable and gave that cabin-feel.

We had fallen in love with Grand Lake on a previous visit and knew we wanted to come back but stay closer to Grand Lake Village. This cabin is in the perfect location... just a few minute drive to town, close (stores, restaurants) to RMNP, and close to many trail heads.

I would recommend this cabin to any couple or small family! We hope to come back soon!

Cabin Will Not Disappoint

  • 5 of 5

It was quiet, cozy, clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We spent 2 days in Grand Lake for a wedding and enjoyed every minute. The cabin is close to downtown Grand Lake where we enjoyed browsing the shops and eating at the local restaurants. It was also a short drive to Grand Lake Lodge where the wedding was held. We would highly recommend the cabin.

Adorable cabin & very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This home is very well maintained & decorated beautifully. Jennifer gave us detailed guidance regarding the cabin, the town, activities & restaurants. We had a great time hiking & exploring the area. Make sure you take a lake tour! The guide gave us a history of the area & the spectacular scenery should not to be missed. Favorite breakfast spot was Fat Cats.

very nicely decorated, The bathrooms were really nicely remodeled and nice to have showers in both.

I rented the cabin for some lady friends to stay at for a retirement gathering. Had 6 ladies from 3 states. When we rented it on line it had bunk beds which was good for a bunch of singles who wouldn't be sharing beds. By the time our reservation came around the owners had remodeled and removed the bunk beds. We were given a $100 discount because of this change which i really appreciated. One of the ladies used an air mattress the first night but it deflated! The second night, they tried to set out the larger air mattress but there really isn't enough floor space to use the pull out couch, and to set up an air mattress. This is a great little cabin but for 6 people, it's best that it is 3 couples that are sharing beds. The proximity to town is great; just a little out of town so it is quiet, but not so far that you can't walk to town. Overall a very cozy little cabin and my friends really enjoyed their grand lake experience.
