About Lisa

We moved to the Black Hills approximately 5 years ago from Wisconsin. We had visited years back and fell in love with the area.

What makes this cabin unique

We fell in love with the 100 year old log home that is currently located on the same property. This home is also available during the tourist season. VRBO #669913

Convenient, clean, and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

This cabin had everything we needed to base out of for elk hunting. We made use of the fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed watching MLB playoffs in the evenings. Only thing that would have been better, would have been if the wifi Internet was working. Cell coverage was sketchy in the cabin, but worked fine outside with verizon.

Great location

We had a great time. Everything was as advertised and very clean. Nice location. Easy to get to and close to attractions. Bed was a bit hard. That would be only complaint but would stay here again.

Great location. Clean. Great value.

This cute cabin is just off the highway and only a couple of miles from Crazy Horse. It's between Hill City and Custer. This 16 x 20 cabin had all the kitchen utensils and amenities we needed. The wifi wasn't the best but it was nice to disconnect. Stand up shower is small but manageable. There was enough room for a pack n play in the room. We enjoyed the turkeys and deer right outside the door each morning. It beats staying at a hotel. Perfect for solo/couple or small family. Owner was easy to communicate with and we would stay here again. Thanks!

The property was beautiful!

  • 2 of 5

The cabin was very nice and well maintained. Location was great as far as going to Custer, Keystone and Hill City. They had things you would need for your stay, such as towels, a hairdryer and kitchen amenities. These are all things which I greatly appreciated.

However, the internet was not hooked up so you were not able to use it. I was also not able to receive text messages, and to talk on the phone. I had to stand out side if I wanted to have a conversation on the phone (us cellular ). I do understand that I was on vacation, but I did not to check on my children (who are in there 20's).

They did provide a small charcoal grill for cooking, but if you have more than 2-3 people you would not be able to cook all your food at one time. Smores and hotdogs on a stick would definitely be out of the question.

The bed mattress on the bed was so hard you could not get a good night sleep. If you are a person who loves a hard bed this would be for you. Although the sheets and all linen were all very clean. There was a futon couch to set on during the day.

I do believe they take great care of their little cabins, I think they are fairly new and maybe just getting started. We did leave a day early as the bed was so bad.

Quiant, quiet, clean and cozy!

  • 4 of 5

Cabin on a secluded road and near enough to the great sites in the Black Hills and surrounding areas. Exactly what you need to cook away from home in the kitchen and not have to eat out the entire trip. Nice night sky views. Cozy and clean and stocked with what you need to have a restful trip!

Cozy cabin surrounded by nature

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time in the Black Hills. This cabin was a perfect place for our family of 4 to relax at the end of the day filled with all the area has to offer. It was nice to settle in and make a meal as this cabin has everything you need to make yourself at home. We will definitely stay again when we come back to the area! Thanks Lisa!
