Valaree (Jodi) Flake purchased this House in 2007
Why Valaree (Jodi) Flake chose Jacobs Ranch
Keith bought the AJ House in 2007 since it's in the middle of our Desert Ranch, and he needed a place to stay, while he works cattle in Apache Junction. We have a home, ranch and office in Snowflake too. Jodi teaches school in Snowflake and commuted to the AJ Home for 2 years, while she finished her Masters in Music at ASU in 2010. Keith and I and our kids only use the home about a third of the year, so we wanted to share it with other families, needing a place to stay in the East Phoenix area.
What makes this House unique
We love the open, comfortable floor plan, where we can sleep 10 in our home and the accessibility to most activities and attractions in the East Phoenix valley. We enjoy the gated-community club house, parks and pool and getting out of the snow and cold in Snowflake, during the winter and spring months. It's a great vacation - get-a-way home for a weekend.
Pool / Spa
This is the best bargain vacation rental in the Phoenix area; it is in a newer subdivision nestled close to the Superstition Mountains.
From the elegant entry to the walled backyard, to the generous supplies of household necessities, you will be pleased with this choice.
Pleased enough to stay in some of the time instead of rushing out the door every day.
A great big place for family gatherings
We were attending wedding which was also a family reunion. We found the home to be spacious and comfy, and the little patio out back was a nice touch. Checking in was easy, although we did not personally meet our hosts. The pool is actually in the center of the complex, and we could have driven, but we enjoyed the walk. The complex the home is in is very well kept up. A big shout out to a local restaurant we discovered nearby: Handlebars. They have an charming outdoor patio , a great menu and beer and wine - no hard stuff, but the brews are choice!
Enjoyed our stay
The house worked very well for my husband and I. It was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. The community swimming pool is heated and was only a couple of blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 month stay in this home.
The property is in a very good location, close to Highway 60, which provides easy access to entertainment, dining, golfing, shopping, and sightseeing activities.
The owner was very good to work with and responded timely if we had questions. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to spend some time in Arizona.
The house was quite spacious and very clean. The latter the most important to our family. The house was quite well stocked w necessities. I would
highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to the area. A microwaveable set
of dishes and plates would be nice but the house was well stocked with paper plates so it really didn’t matter.
We stayed over Christmas so we could celebrate with my parents who live in an RV Park in Apache Junction. The house was decorated for Christmas with lights and a tree! The beds were mostly comfortable, my daughter wasn’t fond of the bunk beds though (she’s tall). There were some minor issues I shared with the owner but overall we were quite happy staying here.
Perfect for our needs. Thank you.
We were in and out of the house due to a family gathering. It was perfect for our needs. The Christmas decorations was a nice touch.
