Perfectly Lovely

  • 5 of 5

My mother and I stayed for a week in early May. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and all of its amenities. Saugatuck is a delightful, laid-back town in which to spend a few days and the cottage a lovely respite at the end of a beach or shopping day. The screened-in porch made it hard to even need to leave the house in order to feel like one was on vacation. The cottage would be terrific for a couples' or girls' get-a-way or small family trip. Thank you, Cathy, for sharing your fabulous home with us! We will definitely be back.

Nice Property! We'd Stay Here Again.

  • 4 of 5

This certainly lives up to its billing as a Quaint Cottage. The home is nice and well kept with lots of light thanks to the large windows. You can tell that some of the house has been updated and those spaces are well done. There's an enclosed porch in the back, but it was too cold while we were there to enjoy it. The property also backs up to the local high school, so you have easy access to tennis courts and basketball.

Overall, it was a good experience, but there was one thing that caught us a bit off-guard. There wasn't any soap or shampoo provided in the unit for the shower (we did find a partial bottle of shampoo & conditioner in a bathroom drawer, but it was mostly empty so I assume it was left by a previous guest). There was liquid hand soap in each bathroom for washing your hands, but no bar soap or body wash. This was our first time using VRBO, so this may be standard, but we weren't prepared for that. Regardless, we'd stay here again if we were coming back to the area.

Peaceful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Traveled up from Chicago with my wife and 9-month old son for a short 3-day trip to Saugatuck. This cottage was just perfect, with plenty of room to meet our needs. We came at a quiet time of the year (Late March), weather was mediocre but that was to be expected - it didn't bother us as we still enjoyed our trip and stay at this beautiful cottage. Cathy was a pleasure to work with, would love to come back again!

Fab Screened In Porch & Walk to Town

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home. We did less in town than we planned because we couldn't seem to pry ourselves from the wonderful screened in porch! And we sure felt smart on the short walk to town as we witnessed people in cars looking for parking spots :) Cathy was very responsive to every question and provided perfect info re arrival and departure as well and quickly returning our deposit after our stay. Thank you for a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!
