This secluded and quiet west coast family home is perfectly situated to explore the village of Ganges and beautiful Salt Spring Island. Located at the end of a no thru country lane in a tranquil rural setting yet only minutes from Ganges village. Easy walk to Mistaken Identity Vineyards, uptown Ganges plaza and numerous local amenities. Garden and forest views creating a peaceful home away from home experience.

All on one level this open concept west coast property with its walls of wood trimmed windows and skylights is bright and inviting. Tastefully furnished and fully equipped to meet your vacation needs.

The main living area has hardwood floors through out with tile in the entry and bathroom. The living room has two leather couches along with occasional seating, a wood stove for cool evenings and a large flat screen TV.

The fabulous newly installed kitchen boasts top of the line stainless steel appliances, including dishwasher and is truly a chefs oasis. Features include a farmhouse apron sink, tiled backsplash, beautiful windows, tons of counter/cupboard space and a large centre island, perfect for casual dining.

The dining table and chairs, seating for six is set in the light filled sunroom. In addition a built-in desk creates an office space and love seat a reading nook. Open the French doors to the new deck, leading to a large garden patio both perfect spots for morning coffee or alfresco dining.

The bathroom and bedrooms are situated on the opposite side of the living area. The updated three piece bathroom, tub/shower combo, has tile floors, wood accents and plenty of storage.

There are three bedrooms, two queen, one full. The main bedroom has hardwood floors the other two have low pile carpet. All have good storage and garden or forest views. Good quality bedding and linens are provided for your stay.

The outside fully fenced yard is accessed by the side walkway or main entrance. Consisting of a nicely landscaped private garden area at the front and a large terraced grassy area behind the house.

This is a bright and inviting home perfect for a Salt Spring Island get away. Great house, great location and great value.

Please note summer weekly bookings are Friday to Friday.

Lower level suite occupied by mature quiet tenant and Rio the dog.

Great stay in this spotless, comfy, centrally located bungalow

Loved the house for our family vacation with 2 teens. The house is well-equipped, spotless, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Loved the good quality bedding and fluffy towels! Great location to relax and read on the patio, pick blackberries, visit Mistaken Identity closeby or walk/bike easily to Ganges to access restaurants, coffee shops, bookstore or Saturday/Tuesday markets. We found the house to be a great hub to head up island for Seaside fish and chips and sunset at Vesuvius, Baders beach (Mt Erskine Prov Park) for beachcombing, St Mary's Lake for swimming, Fulford Harbour for vegan treats and Tree House Cafe for live music and yummy food. Lorraine was a very helpful host, and we loved her thoughtful touches like fresh flowers to greet us! Only things on the wish list: washer/dryer, guestbook to hear others' tips and air conditioning when we hit 30+ degrees. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We'll be back!

Great house, nice quiet location

We loved this place. It was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was well-stocked with pantry items and had all the pots, pans, and other cooking utensils that we needed. Our boys enjoyed playing the games in the games cupboard and there were multiple bookshelves of books for adults to read. We enjoyed being about a 3 minute walk away from Mistaken Identity vineyard and walked to the grocery store, liquor store, and phamacy in 10-12 minutes. We might have walked to Ganges if it was just adults but it would have been too far for our five-year-olds.

Lovely House, Perfect Location Near Ganges

Lovely, comfortable, very well-equipped home, situated at the crossroads of Saltspring Island - very handy to Ganges, with easy drives to anywhere on the island. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, making preparing your own meals a breeze - complete with gas barbecue on the patio. Very quiet, private and secluded yard in quiet residential neighbourhood, and three very comfortable bedrooms make this a lovely family retreat. Lorraine, the manager, made sure things were spotless when we arrived, and was very responsive to any questions or needs we had through the week we stayed here. We will certainly come back to stay again and again!

Great place

We had a wonderful stay with our son and daughter and their spouses. The place was very clean and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the patio and BBQ. The place was close to the store and the town so that we could walk yet felt secluded and private. We also enjoyed our daily walk up the road to the winery. We had a very nice vacation here.

Lovely Retreat

We had a thoroughly relaxing time at Lorraine's place. The open layout was perfect, from the solarium-like dining space to the well-appointed and roomy kitchen. Weather was warm and sun-drenched when we were there but the place stayed surprisingly cool, and benefited from the shelter of trees. We loved being able to enjoy the hummingbirds in the garden while sipping our coffee. We have a young child, and having the bedroom wing removed from the main living space was enormously helpful. Lorraine was very responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We hope to return and highly recommend this for other families!

Magical forest retreat
