Spacious Lakefront Home - boat dock on deep water

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,600 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

This spacious, modern 4 bedroom lakefront home is a perfect getaway for families and couples alike. Located on a small cul-de-sac within Jamestown Village, the house is surrounded by woods.

There's plenty of room inside to relax, step outside and the cool water of Lake Sinclair awaits. After the hustle and bustle of everyday life, just pack your suitcase, pick up your groceries and come and enjoy 'LakeLife'. We have taken great care to make sure everything you need is here to help you rest and relax your mind. The main level of the home is open plan with kitchen, dining room and great room with 18 foot ceiling which makes it bright and airy. Also queen bedroom and bathroom. In addition, there is a sunroom which makes a great reading/game nook, complete with two day beds it makes for a great lazy afternoon nap.

Three bedrooms downstairs include the large master bedroom with King bed and en-suite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms both with queen beds, as well as a bathroom, den with sofa/sleeper and laundry room. Two sets of french doors(from Master and den) open out onto the lower covered deck and yard which offer terrific lake views.

The large wrap-around deck upstairs offers spectacular, picturesque views of the lake, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal while observing the local wildlife and enjoying the peaceful serenity of Lake Sinclair.

A few steps down to the large deep water dock, allows for great fishing and swimming, subathing and of course water activities for all. The covered double dock boasts a large boathouse/slip with easy boat access. Bring your own boat/watercraft and tie up here. Boat launch access is just a few minutes drive from the house.

Situated on a wide section of Log Dam Creek, you are only seconds away from the main body of the lake, this is ideal for families with children as they can play safely in the lake without worrying about excess boat traffic. Oconee Springs Park is only 5 minutes by boat if you need gas/supplies.

All of the bedrooms have been newly painted and decorated and have new modern furniture and mattresses for your comfort and convenience. We bought the house in late 2014 and have spent the Fall/Winter redecorating and making it a 'home away from home'. The majority of furniture and furnishings in the home are all brand new, we took great care and consideration in selecting high quality pieces with comfort and enjoyment in mind.

About Vikki Beech

My husband and I grew up in England, we moved to the USA in 1996. We are married with three great children and home is the small country town of Guyton, Georgia.

Vikki Beech purchased this house in 2014

Why Vikki Beech chose Metro Atlanta, Central & Southern

Four years ago, friends told us how relaxing a vacation on the lake could be, so we decided on Lake Sinclair. After renting Lakefront properties for four consecutive summers, we decided that this was the best place to enjoy some relaxing family time with the children and a place we wanted to come...often! It is perfect for families of all ages. The peace and serenity of the lake is a great way to get some R&R, whilst having a blast on the water boating and tubing with the children.

What makes this house unique

Our home is located on a wide creek just seconds from Big water, this makes it ideal for young children who enjoy the water, you can rest easy knowing that there's minimal boat traffic.

lake house review

  • 3 of 5

The house was perfect, but there was some things that could be better. To start off there was WAY too many ants that we had to go out and buy some pesticide. The house also has no wifi, we could not get in touch with any family or friends. I recommend this house but it needs some improvements. Thank you Vicky for allowing us to stay in your lake house.

Beautiful quite comfort of home.

  • 5 of 5

It was a very quiet and comfortable place to stay for a week. The house was beautiful and everything worked properly. Me and my family loved how the lake was accessible for us to go fishing. The only thing that the place may need is some kind of internet service so there would be a way to get in contact with people that we may need to talk to. But other than that the house was very pleasant.

Very Pleasant Stay

  • 4 of 5

The house accommodations are quite nice. Plenty of space for a large group. Even better, there is a boat ramp within minutes from the house and a quick trip by water for fuel.

We all had a wonderful weekend trip!!

Gorgeous house with an amazing view

  • 5 of 5

We rented the lakehouse for a family getaway. We are not from Georgia so we were not familiar with the area but Lake Sinclair came highly recommended from our family in Macon. The home is pretty far from the airport but is a beautiful drive with a ton of wildlife to see along the way. We saw deer (I was surprised at how small the deer are there compared to the ones in Utah), possums, armadillos, snakes and some beautiful red foxes on our drive. The house is secluded so bring anything you think you might need because there are not any stores nearby. We also lost cell service right before we got to the house so it is a good idea to print the directions before you go in case the gps wont work. When we finally arrived and walked into the house it was absolutely GORGEOUS and actually a lot bigger than it looked online. It is very nicely decorated (I could hire her to come decorate my house!) The house had all of the ammenities you might need including a washer and dryer. There were even some board games in the den to play. The house has a wrap around deck off of the living area with a bbq and a patio set to accompany the amazing view and a nice lower deck out of the master bedroom and tv room with some relaxing chairs and a lovely wooden porch swing. The short walk down to the dock is a little bit steep but we caught some catfish and had a great time fishing! The only small issue that we had was the ants. I don't know if they are commonly that abundant in the area but there were ants everywhere except in the house. We even got in our car the first day to find that thousands of ants had made their way into it. But the home is in the woods so you should probably expect a lot of critters and they were NOT in the house at all so it wasn't a huge deal. We went to Atlanta and purchased the city pass for $75 which included the zoo, world of coca-cola, the natural history museum, civil rights museum, the aquarium, and some other downtown locations. We also went to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historical site downtown, it was free and probably my favorite thing that we did. Millidgeville is not far from the house and was the original capital of Georgia before the Civil War so there is lots of stuff to see there. Vikki was fantastic to work with and was very prompt in responding with any questions I had about the rental. Overall the house was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation on Lake Sinclair
