About Ramon Villarreal

I was born in the summer of 1972 in the beautiful town of Mazatlan, I have so many good memories of my early days as a kid playing in the Machado Park with all my friends. As a teenager my love for surfing began and to this day I am in the water almost everyday, now happily married with 2 kids. My family shares the same devotion for the sport. Mazatlan is a special place with great beaches and tropical weather and where the people are very friendly and warm hearted.

Ramon Villarreal purchased this townhome in 2004

Why Ramon Villarreal chose Marina Mazatlán

The house is located in a very private and quiet community with a nice swimming pool. You can walk to the beach in a couple minutes. The Golden Zone is a short pulmina ride away. There you will find restaurants, shopping and night life.

Wonderful home on Cerritos Beach

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home for the second year in a row over the Christmas Holidays and had a fantastic time. It is one block from the beach and spent most of our time in the water and enjoying the surf. We like staying here away from the Golden Zone, but downtown is an easy taxi or bus ride.

The taco stand across the street is great. This year, there were beach towels provided and that was helpful. We travelled with four children 15-22 and my husband and I. So, we were a group of six and the house fit us perfectly. You could probably add four more people if needed with some on the couch and sharing beds. The pull out bed didn't have any blankets though, so we got one at the market the first day there and it wasn't a problem. Also, you'll want to bring soap for the shower, but we knew that from last year, so we were prepared. Ramon's sister met us at the airport and delivered us to the house, and then took us back to the airport when we left. She was easy to talk to and so kind. We love the location, property and the home. We plan to come back for a third year! What a great holiday!

Nice Mazatlan vacation

  • 4 of 5

Everything in the property appeared to be just as it was detailed. The house was clean and well-maintained, in a safe neighborhood.

Ramon's sister, daughter and friend met us at the airport and delivered us to the house. They were so kind (my wife and I need to brush up on our Spanish).

We stayed in this home for a month Jan 20 to Feb 21 2018 and had a fantastic time.

The taco stand across the street, Roy's, Last Drop are great places to eat.

Buses were just outside the gate to take us to the main strip.

The security guards were very friendly.

The pool was just across the street (older).

Townhouse backs onto main road and can be noisy (back patio and 2 bedrooms).

Enjoyed the sun, ocean(3mins away) and BBQ.

Ramon is very fluent English and always responded to our e-mails.

Thanks Ramon

Very disappointed in the overall complex.

  • 1 of 5

The house was very clean, well decorated well furnished and handy to the beach.

However there were many things that we did not like:

The traffic noise from the street behind was very loud and we could not use the back patio and it was also was noisy inside the house.

The TV reception was very spotty and the news was 2 days old.

The water pressure was very low so it was difficult to shower.

The stairs were very steep and dangerous.

The pool area had no furniture at all so we had to take our own. There was a gazebo but it was being repaired so we could not use it.The pool had a lot of broken and loose tiles which were dangerous.

There was no management office or personnel in this complex so it was not really managed at all.

We feel that the advertisement, reviews and pricing were very misleading and we were very disappointed with the overall complex.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

Great condo with lots of room and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our three month stay. Wonderful Owner was just a phone call away and always there to accommodate us if something was needed. Condo had a back patio which was nice to relax after a long day. Each bedroom had its own air conditioner which was a bonus as well.

Great restaurant across the street was very handy. Buses were just outside the gate to take us to the main strip. The security guards were very friendly. The pool was just across the street and was very nice to dip into after a hot day and the beach was a 3 min walk and it was lovely sand and the ocean was calm most of the time. Thank you Ramon for our wonderful stay we really enjoyed Mazatlán.

Great House, Great Trip! Wonderful Christmas holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in Ramon's home in Mazatlan. We brought our 3 kids and my parents to stay in the home for Christmas week. The house was everything it said on the website, plus there was an extra pull out bed for our kids. So, it slept 7 just fine. The water heater went out the second day, but Ramon had someone there to fix it that day and we didn't have any problems after that. The beach is very convenient to the house and just a short walk. We loved having a house to stay in so we didn't have to eat out all the time, and we had room to watch movies and play games. The internet worked great too. It took us about a day to figure out the busses and the taxis, but once we did, we could access anything we wanted to in Mazatlan. The taco stand across the street was a great place to eat, and even cooked up the fish we caught! Thanks for the great stay and the accomodations! We loved it and want to come back next year.

Pleasant Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was great. Communication was handled via email and telephone. Ramon and Betty were a pleasure to work with. Everything in the property appeared to be just as it was detailed. The house was clean and well-maintained, in a safe neighborhood.

A large grocery store and shopping center are nearby and the beach is really just a short walk away. It was close enough to the downtown activity without being right in the middle of all the noise and crowds. After a day in the city, we were always able to come back home to some peace and quiet.

The only issue we ran into was the A/C was not working in one of the bedrooms, but I called and within a few short hours it was working again. The owners were on call and very attentive to our needs.

For those folks that do not do stairs, please note that both showers are upstairs.

Overall the property was very accomodating and we would definitely stay again. Thanks!
