About Peter 'Jeff' DiPaola

I am a retired businessman form New Jersey. I retired to the Adirondacks because it was a place that I love and spent most of my free time at. The lion share of my time is now occupied with volunteer work and music. My passions are guitar playing, Itlaian food, fly fishing and science fiction movies. I am member of the Lake Placid Lions Club.

Coming from an Italian background has prepared me to be a praticular type of host. My focus is on making guests fee like family and enabline them to have the best time possible.

Peter 'Jeff' DiPaola purchased this house in 1992

Why Peter 'Jeff' DiPaola chose Adirondack Mountains

The most compelling reasons to rent this property are its location to all the Lake Placid activities. It is only 150 yards from the LP Pub and Brewery.

The same distance to Mirror Lake and the beach.

Nice neighborhood and a place that you will talk about for years. If you want a convenient, low stress visit to Lake Placid - this is the place to stay.

Great home close to town

  • 5 of 5

This is a well kept, spacious house within walking distance to town. It has multiple bedrooms to accommodate everyone and the washer/dryer was key for us. The owner Jeff was great to work with and we can't wait to come back next year.

Beautiful house and great stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect house for our trip. It matched the listing exactly, and Jeff was super easy to work with. The house itself is beautiful, and very comfortable! And it's a very short walk into town. We'd definitely stay here again!

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful 4th of July weekend vacation in this warm and cozy home. It's clean and well appointed with all that is needed for a family stay. The owner was available by phone and text, and the one question we had (where to find the iron) was answered promptly. The home is conveniently located, only two blocks from Mirror Lake so we were able to walk everywhere. We walked into town for shopping and entertainment, around the lake for exercise, and to convenience stores only a block or two away. The Olympic Center is also within walking distance. We hope on our next Lake Placid trip to stay in this home again and would highly recommend it.

Perfect place for two families

  • 5 of 5

When we booked this place we intended to spend most of our time NOT in the house. But the -28F temperatures this past President's Day weekend meant we were indoors way more than we expected. Despite the cold outside the house was very cozy and it was a perfect place for our group - two families with three kids apiece ages 4-9.

The house and particularly the kitchen was well equipped. The kids loved the bunk room and made use of the second-floor living room for games and movies. The location is great - easy for quick walks into town in any weather for skating, shopping, eating, etc. and right around the corner from the LP Pub & Brewery, a favorite destination.

Jeff was a responsive host, immediately helping us out with a couple of minor snags (the frigid temps temporarily froze a pipe leading to the kitchen sink, and we accidentally tripped a breaker despite the clear instructions on how to avoid doing so!). We'd love to come back some time ... hopefully we'll be luckier with the weather and spend more time on the ski slopes.

Wonderful place. Great location. Close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

Pretty large house. We were three families (5 adults and 5 children).

Just one block from Main street with many shops.

Jeff was great, he told us about toboggan slide. Our kids LOVED it! And we loved the fact that it was so close, they just walked there.

The house was very clean and stuffed with everything you might need.

We would definitely stay there again.
