Spectacular views, unique design features, and all the luxuries you love make our ocean view house at Golden Sands the perfect place for your next vacation. Ideal for large groups or 2 families, it's amazing from the crow's nest to the private pool/spa!
Located on a quiet side street just steps from St. Augustine Beach, our Mediterranean-style house has two big floors with separate exterior entrances so that, if you like, one part of your group can occupy the ground floor with their own kitchenette and 2 bedrooms, while the rest can stay on the second floor with a full kitchen and 3 bedrooms . . . and everyone can share the crow's nest, the sparkling swimming pool, and the bubbly heated spa!
Of course, the house also works as one big space, with the downstairs kitchenette as the coolest-feature-ever for teens who want to hang out around the huge TV in between trips to the beach and the pool! Prepare to fall in love with this pool, by the way -- it's private, surrounded by soft grass, and so refreshing! And after a long day sightseeing in St. Augustine, nothing beats slipping into the bubbly delight of our heated spa!
With gorgeous views of the beach from our big second-floor deck -- not to mention 360-degree panoramas from the crow's nest! -- Golden Sands is the perfect venue to watch the sun rise, spot dolphins in the surf, enjoy the sight of pelicans silently gliding by, and celebrate the magnificent sunset. And in between it all, you'll be living in luxury in our light, airy, oh-so-comfy house!
The 2nd floor of Golden Sands is the main living area, with an absolutely enormous living room leading out to the wide balcony. From the recessed ceiling to the gigantic 56-inch HDTV to the ultra-comfortable recliner, you will love this room! One of the sofas folds out into a bed for 2 lucky people to sleep within view of the sea. And there's room for all your stuff here, from Legos projects to the Sunday paper.
Just off the living room is a delightful sunshiny alcove, perfect for reading, updating your Facebook status (you have free wireless Internet at Golden Sands), or indulging in one of those long conversations that make vacations so unforgettable. There are many little nooks and crannies in this house that set it apart from others and make your time here more interesting and comfortable.
The dining table is adjacent to the living room, with padded chairs that make you want to linger for dessert (and maybe a quick game of Pictionary with the whole gang afterward?). And our kitchen is a chef's dream, with the gleaming appliances to the polished wooden cabinetry to the arched window over the double sink. There's even a little waterdrop-shaped breakfast table attached to one end -- just the thing for keeping the peanut gallery busy with crayons and paper while you make dinner!
Three bedrooms are on the second floor, including a glorious master suite with a heavenly king-sized bed and a gleaming marble-and-glass bath that features a walk-in shower and a soaking tub with Jacuzzi jets. The beach and the swimming pool may be the water attractions for everyone else, but you're going to look forward to luxuriating in this tub as much as anything at Golden Sands!
The second bedroom has a double bed, the third a queen-sized, and both have TVs. A second full bathroom, with both a shower and tub option, is convenient to both.
The first floor contains 2 more bedrooms -- 1 leading directly out to the patio, the other with a queen-sized bed and a TV -- and a huge living area, with a kitchenette and dining area, reading nook, queen-sized sleeper sofa, and huge TV. So much space . . . and when you step outside, the fenced-in swimming pool, heated spa, and grassy lounging area greet you!
You're going to have a great time at Golden Sands. Unique, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located, it may just become your Florida " the second home"!

Great Beach Property
Had a great stay here with the family. There is room to spread out with the beach just a few feet away. The pool and hot tub are great. The widows walk up top gives great views of the sunrise and sunset.
Needs some updates
We are an older group of 7 who love the area for golf and the beach.
We have rented this house twice now and love the location. However, the house is in need of some care and updating especially considering the rental cost. Below are our key points on the house
Pros on this house:
- Fantastic location
- The deck has a great view and is under an overhang for protection from sun or rain
- Spiral stairs up to a roof top deck with a panoramic view
- Steps from a beautiful beach
- Great places to eat and hang out (The Beachcomber and Mango Mango are fun)
- TV's are large and modern
- Hot tub and pool are perfect for after a day on the beach
Cons on this house:
- Upstairs is a great space but in dire need of comfortable furniture
- Couch is old and too soft, dining room chairs are metal and hard
- Living room rug is quite old and in need of replacement or removal
- Windows are difficult to open if you can get them to move
- Slider vertical blinds are falling apart and difficult to use
- Slider door lock is difficult to use and need to use PVC pipe to secure
- Front door knob on upper level was loose and hard to use the key. We are glad they had a keyless entry as well since that was the primary way to lock the upper level door
We had an amazing time. Highly recommended
Great place but needs repairs
Our family gathered here for Thanksgiving week, and really loved the place and enjoyed ourselves. Excellent location. Great layout, roomy, nice porch. However, this house needs a lot of repairs and I felt we paid too much for the condition of the place. Overall was clean except for some pots and pans and baseboards were pretty dirty. Sliding doors are broken, and the lower one leaked during storms to the point we had a bucket and towels capturing water. Serious issue which will only get worse. No screens for doors either. There's no thermometer for the hot tub or pool, and no directions to operate it like it describes in contract. How can I be responsible for propane heater use when I can't control it? Stairs to roof are broken and unsafe. Lower door lock not very secure, could be easily broken in to. Landscapers came when we were out and mowed/weedeater and filled pool with debris, and weeds and rocks on deck, side porch. Master shower door has no seal and results in constant puddle in front of door. Grout is water damaged and moldy. Kitchen top is old and worn, and moldy behind sink. Wood porch deck nails were sticking up and kids were hitting with feet. We bought a hammer and hammered the nails down - left it there for next people as this will continue to happen since incorrect nails were used. This house should be removed from inventory and repaired. Then it would be worth the money.
Great house with most facilities. Learn how to use the heating of the pool and everything will be great. The house is actually two separate apartments with an outside stair connection. Magical runs in the sunrise at the beach.
I location was wonderful, but a few items needed maintenance.for example the lower shower room needed painting the backyard fence needed repair.i was told hurricane Irma damage was taken care of before our arrival, but more could have. Been done.
