About Gerald Dewald

I am originally from Alberta but my roots are in Saskatchewan where my grandparents first homesteaded in 1915. When I moved here in 2002, I did not realize the natural beauty this province has to offer. Hiking and kayaking are two of my favorite leisure activities, not to mention fishing and camping. My hiking trips have taken me from the Utah Canyons to the Sand Dunes at Douglas Provincial Park . My wife is an amateur photographer and we often spend our time in the countryside with a camera. Since moving to Saskatoon I have been an active Director for the Saskatoon Hilltop Football Club ( my second passion ).

Gerald Dewald purchased this bungalow in 2009

Why Gerald Dewald chose Elbow

We have friends who live here. When we first visited Elbow we fell in love with the quiet country lifestyle that the village has to offer. It takes me back to a time when life was much less complicated and hurried. You can walk to the store or down to the lake or just sit on the deck and watch the sunset as the breeze blows through the trees.

What makes this bungalow unique

If you like fishing , hiking, golfing or just a quiet walk on the beach at sunset , you will enjoy your time in Elbow. The people are very friendly and it is a great place just to relax.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We've always loved Lake Diefenbaker, and really enjoyed getting to know the Elbow area a bit better. Super cute house with all the amenities; so nice to come back to at the end of a day of swimming and beaching. We took in Rider games at the Golf Club restaurant, the Rodeo across the street, and the Art Gallery show opening. Thank you for sharing your gem of a spot Gerald!

Great property

  • 4 of 5

This is a super nice and cozy, clean house/cottage with a unique loft addition and a well stocked kitchen for small & large kitchen tools and appliances (even for a chef), as well as a deck with a barbecue and a firepit. Golf course is beautiful, too! The owner was very responsive and helpful. This property would certainly deserve 5 stars if the sofa and recliner were replaced. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was so accommodating for our family (including our dogs). The house has so much room and had everything you need to function just as if you were in your own home. Many sites and beaches to visit in the area. Would highly recommend in the future.
