Great Montreal Experience
We were a large group (7) and the home provided plenty of space for all. The neighborhood is really nice and offers a lot within walking distance. It’s also close to the subway and bus lines so it’s easy to get around the city. We loved the outdoor deck! It was perfect for us.
Clean and comfortable family home wth all amenities.
The property is located in a quiet area close to several restaurants, shops and parks. The metro is a short walk, 5 to 10 minutes away so it is easy to get downtown.
Ideal for all age groups including young children. We really enjoyed our stay.
Clean old bottom level of a tri-level townhouse
Wouldn't agree with the main description as "Chic and Comfortable"... my two words would be "Clean and Well Situated".
This is an old appartment partially renovated (new bathroom/shower in basement, but old shower in a bathtub on main floor), with the ground floor and the basement of a three-story attached building as is typical in that part of Montreal.
Creaky old floors, which is charming but noisy depending on your habits.
Mix-and-match of beds, not hotel quality mattresses or linens, one futon-type mattress in master bedroom. Master bedroom windows to the west are onto an alley almost at head level, we kept the windows and drapes closed at all times to cut noise and keep privacy.
Uneven supply of appliances, kitchen knifes need sharpening (they always do in almost any type of rental accommodation), but otherwise the island is functional.
Terrace outside is squeezed against another building, protected from the sun but not from the rain.
Only one A/C unit on the wall above the TV next to the kitchen, just sufficient to keep the unit at 24C using floor fans to circulate air around the main floor even in the midst of the worst heat wave in a decade.
The location is very practical: just near the corner of Bernard and Outremont, we had no trouble parking on the street even without a resident sticker and it's a 5-min walk to either metro Outremont (the subway station) or the ave du Parc bus line that goes downtown. Two blocks away from Cinq Saisons the high end grocer. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within 500m.
All in all, it was fine for a week but would have looked for something brighter and more renovated for a longer stay. Not much choice online in Montreal in that category (3-4 bedrooms).
Great location! Beautiful home! Plenty of space. Clean and well kept.
A recommander !
