About the property

Custom 4 Bedroom 4 Bath with Endless Lake and Canyon Views

The Tahoma House at Lake Powell is your luxury retreat in Page Az. The home is located on a private cul-de-sac on the rim, offering expansive views that millions come to see each year. From this comfortable home base you can explore all the beauty this area has to offer and enjoy the kind of amenities even the most discriminating traveler can appreciate.

The home has a unique layout that can satisfy multiple couples or families. The main living area is found upstairs so you can enjoy the views from the great room and dining room at a higher vantage point. Warm up by the gas fireplace on cool winter nights (we have a few of those) or watch a movie on the comfortable couches. This is where you will find the gourmet kitchen and butlers pantry with not only the traditional high end appliances like a stainless steel fridge and a gas range, but also a separate wine fridge, an ice maker, and a warming drawer. Of course it is well stocked with everything you need. Up here you can open the wall of windows (yes, the entire wall is a window!) and enjoy your meal on the huge patio while you watch the sun go down. Or enjoy your morning coffee from the dining room table that enjoys the same view. There is indoor seating for everyone with a table for 8 and 4 additional stools at the bar, or sit outdoors on the nice patio furniture.

On this floor is the Antelope Master Suite with a king bed and a master bath boasting a steam shower, separate whirlpool bath, separate toilet and bidet, a huge double vanity, and large walk in closet . On the other side of this upstairs floor, The Tower Suite has a King bed and a remarkable view of Tower Butte. It is next to another full bathroom with a custom tiled shower. There is a dedicated office space in case you need to catch up on some things from back home, and in it there is a queen size pull out couch for extra sleeping needs.

The downstairs level has a common area with a sofa perfect for curling up to watch a movie on the flat screen TV. There is a kitchenette with a fridge, a sink, microwave, and a dishwasher-- perfect to grab a drink as you walk out the sliding glass doors to the large covered patio by the pool and hot tub. This level has the laundry room just in case you need it. Everyone can find a private spot of their own with 2 more suites on this downstairs level. The Horse Shoe Suite has a King Size bed and full bath. The Navajo Suite has two Queen beds. It also has its own private bath and views of Navajo Mountain.

With over 3600 Sq feet of indoor luxury living and over 2000 Sq feet of covered decks and patios, everyone will enjoy this home away from home as they soak up the beauty and majesty of this remarkable area.

About John Gilleland

My husband and I both grew up visiting Lake Powell every summer and my parents moved us to Page when I was in high school. I loved coming home to work in the summers until I married my husband and moved to Colorado. Fortunately he loves the Lake as much as I do, and we have been coming back together for 20 years. We come often and bring our 5 kids with us now too! There is nowhere we love more than Lake Powell and the canyons around Page. We have so many wonderful memories of time spent with extended family and friends exploring and discovering new adventures with every visit.

Why John Gilleland chose Canyon Country & Northeast

We have camped and houseboated our whole lives on the lake and have been looking for a while for the right home in Page. When we found this home we knew it was a perfect fit for us. We love to bring friends with us and this property is set up for that. We can spend the day on an adventure, then come home to the luxuries of this beautiful home. The kids love to swim in the pool in the evenings while we BBQ dinner and watch the canyons change color as the sun sets. It is magical to us and we never tire of the view! The very best stars at night can be seen here and we love to sit in the hot tub and soak up the moonlight.

What makes this house unique

This home has all of the comforts a luxury home can offer. It is perfect for us when we bring another family along to enjoy our favorite spot.

This house was large and beautiful! It was a wonderful place for our family vacation. It accommodated us comfortably and made our Lake Powell trip comfortable and a nice change from a houseboat.

Unforgettable Views of Lake Powell and Arizona Red Rock

  • 4 of 5

My family and I rented this property in early June 2017 and found it to be as advertised. The property has everything you need to have a very memorable and enjoyable stay in the Lake Powell area.

Met or Exceeded Expectations:

1. The view. The view is incredible, as the pictures suggest. The home is very well laid out, and features a relaxing patio area and a wonderful lounging dining area on the second floor, both with stunning panoramic views of the lake and surrounding vista.

2. The Pool/Jacuzzi: Very nice and clean

3. Overall home: The home is nicely decorated, the AC and everything is in working order and kept the home completely cool. There is a ping pong table not shown in the photos which was nice. TVs are fine and are located throughout the home. I did not see a DVD player or home stereo entertainment system, ask about those things if you are interested in them. I didn't ask about them, but they weren't important to me. Kitchen items were generally as expected. Plenty of dishes and glasses. Sufficient pots and pans for cooking for most peoples needs. Basic grill works fine.

Did not meet expectations or unexpected things:

1. Airport. Note that there is a small regional airport adjacent to the property. The airport gets moderate traffic, small private aircraft with occasional small commuter prop or jet traffic traffic, and tour helicopter traffic. I found this to be interesting to watch and not loud enough to hinder the restfulness of the stay. However, you should be advised that this is there.

2. Dining/Shopping Options: Be advised that are not alot of dining / shopping options in town at all. This was fine with us as we planned on cooking in and enjoying the terrific second floor dining area overlooking the Lake each night. If you are looking for more than very casual dining, you won't find it. There is a basic Safeway and Walmart and just about everyone shops at those two places for everything. The small appliances and utensils in the kitchen look like they all came from the WalMart (Toaster, Coffee Maker, Cooking utensils) and these are well worn. We had to buy or bring with us some additional items to ensure that we could enjoyably do some of the basic stuff we wanted to do in the kitchen. Overall not a bad kitchen at all, just be advised that you are limited somewhat by some of those things which I hoped might be a little better at the price point of a home rental like this.

Overall: Pleased with the experience, great trip.
