The private bedroom with a queen bed is light filled and surrounded by trees with lots of birds that will awaken you to the beautiful mornings. The house is on a cul de sac on Sonoita Creek with it's huge cottonwoods. This mostly dry creek is great for running the dogs or taking a stroll to the Nature Conservancy with it's shaded trails which are so well known for the bird watching. A side door opens into a shaded, fenced dog yard with table and chairs and a BBQ.You will be just a short walk from shopping, galleries, and restaurants on the main street where you will meet the local artists, bird watchers, and local characters (of which the town is made). There is often horses in the street and music in the park. We have a nice town pool and a terrific library. Best of all is Patagonia's fabulous year around weather for enjoying all the outdoor activities. Hiking, biking, birding, hunting, and trail riding. We are near the Arizona Trail, Patagonia Lake,Kino Springs golf course, the Santa Ritas and San Rapheal Valley, and so much more to discover including Ghost towns and old mines and diggings with lots of history. I love to be outdoors and good days in Montana were too few.I happened across this town one winter and fell in love with it. When the opportunity arose, I packed up my dogs and horses, headed south , and would never think of leaving this scenery, climate, and these people.
penny purchased this House in 2005
Why penny chose Patagonia
I bought this house because of the quiet location and it's spacious, old timey character
What makes this House unique
The greatest benefit of this house is its proximity to hiking, swimming, tennis, fishing, bird hunting, birding, trail riding, wine tasting, coffee at the Gathering Grounds, music in the park, fairs, art walks, farmers markets, rodeos and all the diverse, active, sometimes odd, and always happy and friendly folks all about the village.

Comfortable and convenient location
The bungalow was built in the mid-1940s and remodeled over the years. We rented this dog friendly duplex for a month in February 2018. The location is good; 2 blocks from DT Patagonia, 10 minute walk to Audubon’s Paton Center for Hummingbirds and one block from Sonoita Creek (usually dry) on a dead-end street. Across the street is an open field and church. At 4,050’ASL nights are cool, stars bright and it is blessedly quiet. Hiking/birding at the nearby Nature Conservancy Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve is excellent as is Patagonia State Park (fees).
Penny, the owner resides in the adjacent ‘Office’ with her five dogs. She is responsive and promptly addressed our questions and concerns. Version has 4G, 4 bars in town and Wi-Fi works well.
Beautiful, warm, spacious, and comfortable home for a quiet weekend.
We enjoyed our stay in Patagonia at the home we rented. It was large, quiet, and in a beautiful setting right across the street from a nice park and large church. The rooms were spacious, well furnished, and comfortable. We certainly will return in the future!
Great town, gret place
Very convenient to everything
February in Patagonia
The property was well located in the town where most things were walkable and there was a small park across the street for our dog. The house was very well set up especially the kitchen with lots of counter space and cabinets. Overall the property was very spacious and comfortable including the small fenced outside area. There was lots of storage space which is always a bonus. Penny was flexible on a number of items to help us out. The only downside was that between both neighbours and Penny there were way too many dogs barking away.
Great location and furnishings.
Stayed here for 7 weeks. Overall great rental. Dog friendly with outdoor fenced area. Big kitchen, lots of storage. Very close to downtown but quiet and private. My wife and I enjoyed our stay.

Friends with Dogs
I arranged for my friends to stay here for a few days. They wanted to bring their dogs, the owner didn't mind and even had a little yard for the dogs to hang out in.
The place was cute, clean and ready for my friends. They were able to walk to some restaurants and coffee shops, and even a few art galleries.
They had lots of fun.
