About the property

IN TOWN,GREAT RATES, GOOD WEATHER.LOTS OF ACTIVITIES WITH YOUR DOGS.

You and your dogs will enjoy this charming, quiet, and spacious house with large great room with big HD TV,sectional coach, a curtained off bonus area with full size convertible sofa bed, and desk with WIFI. There is a dining room next to the very large kitchen with tons of solid surface counter space, and a breakfast bar. You will have a coffee maker, microwave, and all your cookware and other kitchen accouterments. A laundry room is just off the kitchen. The private bedroom with a queen bed is light filled and surrounded by trees with lots of birds that will awaken you to the beautiful mornings. The house is on a cul de sac on Sonoita Creek with it's huge cottonwoods. This mostly dry creek is great for running the dogs or taking a stroll to the Nature Conservancy with it's shaded trails which are so well known for the bird watching. From the front patio, you can look across the little park for views of red Mountain. A side door opens into a shaded, fenced dog yard with table and chairs and a BBQ.You will be just a short walk from shopping, galleries, and restaurants on the main street where you will meet the local artists, bird watchers, and local characters (of which the town is made). There is often horses in the street and music in the park. We have a nice town pool and a terrific library. Best of all is Patagonia's fabulous year around weather for enjoying all the outdoor activities. Hiking, biking, birding, hunting, and trail riding. We are near the Arizona Trail, Patagonia Lake,Kino Springs golf course, the Santa Ritas and San Rapheal Valley, and so much more to discover including Ghost towns and old mines and diggings with lots of history. Borderlands conservation association has just purchased a large parcel for wildlife migration, recreation, and grassland preservation. Adjacent to this (just 5 minutes from town) I have horse facilities with miles of trails right out the gate. i hardly ever miss a morning or evening out in this wonderful climate. Do not miss the exciting Monsoons in July and August! The back section of the house with 1000sq. feet,is also available. It has a spacious main room with desk, comfortable seating with ,lots of light, an apartment sized kitchen, dog yard and private entrance and parking, and a huge bedroom with queen bed. This side of the house has all of the amenities and costs less. Inquire about the pet Friendly Casita in back #791126 . thanks penny

About penny

I love to be outdoors and good days in Montana were too few.I happened across this town one winter and fell in love with it. When the opportunity arose, I packed up my dogs and horses, headed south , and would never think of leaving this scenery, climate, and these people.

penny purchased this house in 2005

Why penny chose Patagonia

I bought this house because of the quiet location and it's spacious, old timey character

What makes this house unique

The greatest benefit of this house is its proximity to hiking, swimming, tennis, fishing, bird hunting, birding, trail riding, wine tasting, coffee at the Gathering Grounds, music in the park, fairs, art walks, farmers markets, rodeos and all the diverse, active, sometimes odd, and always happy and friendly folks all about the village.

Beautiful, warm, spacious, and comfortable home for a quiet weekend.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Patagonia at the home we rented. It was large, quiet, and in a beautiful setting right across the street from a nice park and large church. The rooms were spacious, well furnished, and comfortable. We certainly will return in the future!

February in Patagonia

  • 3 of 5

The property was well located in the town where most things were walkable and there was a small park across the street for our dog. The house was very well set up especially the kitchen with lots of counter space and cabinets. Overall the property was very spacious and comfortable including the small fenced outside area. There was lots of storage space which is always a bonus. Penny was flexible on a number of items to help us out. The only downside was that between both neighbours and Penny there were way too many dogs barking away.

Friends with Dogs

  • 4 of 5

I arranged for my friends to stay here for a few days. They wanted to bring their dogs, the owner didn't mind and even had a little yard for the dogs to hang out in.

The place was cute, clean and ready for my friends. They were able to walk to some restaurants and coffee shops, and even a few art galleries.

They had lots of fun.

Everything was as described and better

  • 5 of 5

The owner is a great VRBO person. She gave us the space we needed and answered all the many questions we may have had with the area. The house is very well furnished, has good Internet access and is well stocked. We would recommend this area to anyone who would like to relax and take it easy.
