This 3 bedroom 2 bath home has turn of the century charm, is finely furnished and comfortably updated. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and well appointed bath, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom a day bed. The patios and back porch are perfect for nap taking, reading, outdoor serenity or casual conversation. And enjoy the grounds with game of darts or bocce ball along with food and wine. It is an ideal get away for two or three couples or a small family. Area activities feature the outdoors, scenic country, fine dining and great regional wines. There is a separate 1 bed, 1 bath bunk house.
Some girl friends and I stayed here for a weekend and we loved our time in the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals which was great because we wanted to enjoy the outdoor space for dinner, wine and girl talk. The rest of the house is also beautifully decorated and comfortable for a family or group. Loved it all!
This house is just oozing with "wine country." It is so cute and cozy. It had plenty of room for three couples, we could be together when we wanted and alone when we wanted. The grounds are gorgeous! Deer would often graze through the property, making our early morning coffee an even better treat! Bocce was key- it was so much fun to relax and BBQ and play bocce after an afternoon of wine tasting.
The location was great- close to Los Olivos, Solvang and Santa Ynez. All the couples said they would return.
ps- try to meet the neighbor! He owns the old train on the property. The tour of that was a highlight!
Thanks for a great stay!
Our stay was nothing short of perfection! The moment we arrived at this beautifully appointed farm house, we knew we were in for an incredible stay!! I own a vacation rental in Santa Barbara and am acutely aware of the vacation rental process. Micah was extremely attentive and quick to answer my questions prior to our arrival. There was no need to contact Micah during our stay because the house is extremely well maintained and is stocked with EVERYTHING!!!
We awoke to the wonderful sounds of the rooster and the horses. (So charming!) Each morning we ate breakfast in the large dining room using the beautiful antique china among the many choices of dishes/flatware/glasses that were provided. At night, before we got ready to go out, we sat out back and enjoyed the beautiful patio overlooking the bocce ball court and natural beauty of the yard.
The house is perfectly located so we had easy access to the many wineries and great restaurants in town.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay and look forward to returning soon!!!
Lovely home. Vey clean. Great quiet location. Had all amenities for cooking/serving meals that you could ask for. A lot of room for sitting and dining inside and out. The weather was hot and we were unable to get the house to cool off. The air conditioner didn't cool the house. There were many windows without screens so we couldn't open the windows at night because bugs were flying in. There was a small fan that we used in the small cottage on the back of the property, but it didn't cool off until 4am. This house NEEDS ceiling fans!!!!! (in every room) It also needs screens and window coverings to block out the heat. We texted the manager re. the extreme heat and he said the houses is lacking good insulation...I would avoid this house in the extreme temperatures in summer and winter.
Absolutely everything you could possibly need for a spectacular weekend awaits you at this property. It is as comfortable and thoughtfully stocked as if you were turning the key into your own home. Beautiful art and furniture adorn the beautifully renovated space. Micah, the manager, was very helpful. We didn't bother eating out because the kitchen was so well equipped. The location couldn't be more ideal - just moments away from wineries (seriously, Buttonwood is across the street), and a 5 minute drive to the grocery store in Solvang. It was so peaceful on the property, and there were many comfortable outdoor spaces to enjoy. The bocce court was a lot of fun, too! We'll definitely be back again.
Three couples stayed at the ranch in 2013 and last October (2014) we returned for our second stay. We stayed for three nights. The house is located down a long drive and once you get there you know its going to be a 'cool' place. The owners had just updated the house and yet it still maintains its charm. Everything was provided and we had a dynamite time. We cooked breakfast and dinner there, but had lunch out because the property is located in a great area to drive to the different wineries. We had appetizers and cocktails out on the patio with a great fire going in the firepit. Dinner was inside in the very nice dining room. (October gets a little chilly for dinner outside). After dinner we spent the evening in the living room with a fire going in the fireplace. Dynamite!! There are three bedrooms in the main house (we used two) and one couple used the great little casita on the back of the property-very private. They also put in a bocce court; a blast playing. The place was clean and very tidy when we got there. Outstanding time. We'll probably go back again next autumn. I'd recommend it.
