Yardena purchased this apartment in 2013
We take pride in our home, we are meticulous when it comes to decor, quality and cleanliness.
We love to share our knowledge of the city and help people to get around and enjoy their stay. We also will provide privacy, or interaction — just as needed.
We were pleased with all aspects of our accommodations in Brooklyn. This apartment suited our needs perfectly and is located in a convenient location near transit and grocery stores. Yardena is welcoming, professional, and helpful. Thank you!
We had a wonderful week in New York and the home was lovely. I would definitely recommend it.
This is a great apartment, clean and comfortable. Yardena was very kind - checking to make sure we knew where we were going, etc. They always left a light on to make sure we were able to get into the apartment, which was nice.
The only downfall is the location, if you're traveling to and from the city every day like we were on our trip via the subway. You have to allow at least 45-60 minutes if you're traveling to Times Square and even longer if you're going to Central Park, etc. We left for the day early in the morning and did not come back until late at night because time did not allow us to come back to the apartment in between events.
good home, near subway to the city, we are feeling good in this apartment. Thanks
Stayed was very pleasant. Very close to shopping areas and subway, about 20 minutes drive to Coney Island, which has an Aquarium, beach and many rides attractions. Landlords are super friendly and allowed us to stay an extra night with no hesitation. Yardena is very sweet and always call or text to ensure we were fine and to ensure we have everything we needed. If you have a family of four or so, I recommend you this apartment before booking a hotel for a higher rate. Here is way better and cheaper than a hotel.
We decided to travel to Brooklyn this summer to visit my sister-in-law and her new baby. We were traveling with a toddler and my father-in-law, so we knew we'd need to find a place with a little bit of elbow room, if only for sanity's sake! This apartment totally fit the bill: convenient location, plenty of space, great price, and fantastic hosts.
A little bit about the apartment: this is a two bedroom with a bath, full kitchen, and a good sized living space. The apartment is very newly renovated, and has all the amenities you'd want (and more): fridge, range & oven, microwave, a/c, full sized washer and dryer (Yes. In the city.). There are about 6 steps leading down to the private entry - we didn't have any problem coming and going (even with a stroller). The apartment is clean, nicely decorated, and feels light and airy. The hosts live upstairs, and are very accessible, welcoming and helpful. We were busy with family, so we didn't see much of them. But they offered pointers on the neighborhood and parking, gave us a good orientation to the apartment, and were very accessible by text/phone whenever we needed them. We've done a lot of HomeAway rentals, and they are by far the nicest hosts we've encountered.
The neighborhood: This apartment is in a neighborhood that's traditionally full of African and Caribbean immigrants. It's amazingly quiet (very residential), safe, and full of families. There are some great little restaurants and shops in the area. But it isn't Park Slope or Greenpoint, so if you're expecting the Brooklyn hipster scene, you may be disappointed. We met several of the neighbors during our coming and going, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We drove for this trip, and parking was never an issue (our hosts were very helpful in explaining the street sweeping game that's part of life in Brooklyn). There was no need to do much driving once we got to town - lots of public transit options within easy walking distance, a grocery nearby, and Prospect Park (and all its amenities) is an easy walk away. If you want to go into the city, you can easily hop a train and be in Times Square within half an hour.
This was a fantastic place for us, and I will definitely be back next time we visit family in the neighborhood.
Getting into Manhattan is just a 30 minute subway ride away. You can walk to the 5 and 2 trains in 6 minutes, and to the Q and B in about 10 minutes. Or drive to downtown Manhattan in 20 minutes.
We are located 5 stops on the subway from the Barclay Center and 2 stops from Brooklyn College,
We are around the corner from Kings Theatre and a 5-minute car ride to Prospect Park or 20 min walk.
