Overview

About the property

This is a bright and fresh two bedroom apartment on the second floor of a three story building. You'll have one set of steps to climb - there is no elevator. This apartment was being freshly painted and newly decorated (November 2014). We can accommodate maximum 6 guests.

The first bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside table and lots of closet space. East facing window for a lovely breeze at night.

The second bedroom has two single beds, plenty of closet space and storage.

There is a full bathroom in the common area.

The living room has a brand new sleeper sofa for additional sleeping spots.

You will have your own keys so that you can come and go as you wish.

Parking: There are two options for parking. 1) Street parking - good option if you arrive before 5pm, as spots are very limited. Let us know if you decide to park in the lot or on the street, as we’ll provide you with a visitor permit ($25 deposit, held until permit is returned ) 3) reserved parking spot in a private outdoor locked lot a few blocks away, this is $10 per day.

**Coin-op washer/dryer downstairs

**Fast, reliable wifi

**Full kitchen

I live 5 min away and I'm available to help you however I can. I look forward to sharing my favorite NYC places with you.

Super convenient 24/7 'chicken bus' (private bus company) bus stop is 5 blocks away, and easy to walk home at any time of the night. You will have detailed info on how to get in/out of the city. I provide an info binder in the apartment. Regular scheduled service on NJ Transit right outside building door - perfect for guests keeping regular commuter hours.

This is a very low crime area, it's filled with families and people who live in Weehawken and likely work in the city. It's a great place!

There is a great store a block away on the corner where you can get a yummy bacon and egg sandwich in the morning, and another store where you can get a six pack of beer at 9pm. Lots of small restaurants nearby.

* Coin-op washer/dryer in basement

* Patio area in back

* Fast reliable wifi

* Completely private for your group, not shared

I live very close by, and I will be very happy to help you plan your itinerary. I am available on Viber, What's App, by text or email to help you with whatever I can.

This is a quiet neighborhood near one of the major traffic arteries into Manhattan. We're a few blocks from the Lincoln Tunnel, but far enough away that you can rest comfortably without having crazy city noise to deal with. Spending the day in NYC is so much fun, but it's also fun to have a relaxing place to rest so that you can tackle touring again the next day!

This is one of four apartments in this building so please be considerate when walking around upstairs - we ask that you bring your house slippers or let us know if you need some.

I'm happy to help you find a great show to see, a fantastic restaurant for a special celebration or a great New York gift for your granny. I live in the neighborhood so you can always reach me by stopping by or by phone or email.

I love to see people walking their dogs, kids playing outside and the way the light changes the view of the city from our side. You'll never get tired of listening to the great Jersey accent.

You'll be able to walk home from the bus and feel comfortable whether you are a single female traveler or a group of wrestlers - the streets are well lit, the buses run all day and all night and everyone is friendly and helpful.

The 24/7 bus picks up and drops off a few blocks away, and the buses go to one place only - near Times Square. There is literally no way to get lost if you are taking a bus that is traveling east.

This apartment is in a quiet residential building with people who work in the city. Everyone appreciates their restful nights sleep, so please keep that in mind.

All guests must be counted - babies, kids, toddlers included.

It's a breath of fresh air after spending a crazy tiring day in the city. You'll come home to quiet streets, people walking dogs, neighbors chatting with neighbors and families out for a stroll. We are so close to Manhattan, and if you could fly, you'd be there in 3km's. But you have to go through the tunnel, so it takes about 15 minutes, could be a bit longer in times of heavy traffic. Jitney buses run EVERY 5 minutes, you will never wait longer than this.

ABOUT TRANSPORTATION: Believe it or NOT – it is possible to be outside of Manhattan and so close to it, yet it's true. Here are some facts about transportation: Two types of buses serve our area. The first type is the official bus service, NJ Transit. This stop is right outside the building door. Buses to NY run frequently during commuter hours, and on a less frequent schedule during off-hours. Great to get into the city for early birds.

The second type of bus is what we call the 'chicken bus' or the 'jitney'. This stop is a few blocks away, and these buses run every 5 min, all day and all night. Even on New Year's Eve, the service is incredible. $3 a trip, cash only, they make change. The jitney bus is very frequent, I rarely wait for it more than 2 to 3 minutes. Most of the time you won't even wait at all. You will get to the bus stop and a bus will be there.

Buses are available 24/7 so you can catch them even when you spend the whole evening out.

You won't find a timetable or route on the internet for these buses, it's a private bus company that runs many lines in and out of Manhattan. You can look on Wiki under 'Spanish Transportation' if you're interested in the history of this private service.

NJTransit #22 runs every 30 minutes into Hoboken, home of the Cake Boss, Birthplace of Frank Sinatra and Baseball (where you can also catch the PATH into Manhattan 33rd Street and/or the World Trade Center) and NJTransit #123 every 15-30 minutes (during commute hours) into Manhattan’s Port Authority (42nd Street & 8th Avenue – Times Square)

Easy city bus access to Jersey Garden Outlet Mall, much closer and as good as Woodbury Commons.

We are also close to Hoboken, Weehawken and Jersey City.

Cute, clean 2 bedroom unit

  • 3 of 5

The actual unit is great, very cute and clean. Maria left us umbrellas and house shoes which was nice. We had a lot of issues with noise - the unit above us was really loud at all hours of the night. We also got locked out of the unit because the building has multiple airbnb units, and another guest must have taken the key. We were not informed on what to do with the outdoor key, so the other guest probably assumed it was theirs (because that's a logical thing to think). The wifi is spotty. Having a full kitchen was very nice and the beds were comfortable.

Very clean, safe, comfortable.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed Maria's place! Very cute with many thoughtful touches. Neighborhood felt safe and we wee able to use her visitor parking pass to park within a few blocks. Moving in and out of the city was easy. We wondered why the shuttle service was called the chicken bus? But it was quite easy to use.

Only recommendation would be to have a list of area restaurants and good coffee shops within walking or delivery distance. The Chinese takeout on the next block was serviceable but nothing special.

Thank you Maria for a terrific experience!

clean apartment, safe building, great location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was perfect for our family of 5! The space is clean and bright, and transportation into Manhattan was easy. We grabbed a few things for breakfasts from the neighborhood market on the block--which made mornings easy--and we had a bit of room to spread out after a couple of long and glorious days in the city. We took advantage of a couple of Maria's suggestions for local activities, too. We will definitely rent again for our future visits to the area!

Very pleasant

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was exactly like in the pictures, very pleasant.

The only problem we had was parking the car. We got a parking ticket early in the morning for parking it by a meter without a resident permit which we received the following day. While it was parked for the first hour the meter was active again we got the $40 ticket. That was our oversight. But we had to park quite a few blocks away and it took quite a while to find but neighborhood seemed to be okay walking late at night.

Very cozy and bright!

Great Hostess!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this apartment but do to a gas leak Maria moved us to one of her other properties. While I can't comment on this apartment I can say Maria was wonderful to work with and the other apartment was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable. I have no reason to doubt that all her apartments are the same. I highly recommend renting from Maria!
