We are a family of five, living in Westport, CT. My wife and I met as undergrads at Syracuse University, and have been married since 1986. We have three sons, ages 13, 18 and 22. My wife grew up in Europe, before moving to Ridgefield, CT which is where we were married. I grew up in western Massachusetts (Longmeadow), and work in marketing. We lived in Asia for 10 years and Europe for five before moving to Westport in 2000.

I have always loved Vermont. My family lived there for generations, and I skied and camped there as a kid. For us, this property is ideal: easily accessible for weekends, but very private; simple, but comfortable; close to skiing, golf, a large reservoir, culture entertainment, and plenty of restaurants and pubs. But the view is the show-stopper: absolutely spectacular, from every room. Great hiking, biking and sledding just off the front porch...
The view is spectacular. The clear night sky is a magnificent celestial display. The inside is simple, cozy and rich with character. The spiral staircase came from a legendary Mount Snow nightclub in the '70s; the circular front window came from an orphanage; the side light is an old street lamp from Bennington....
We had a wonderful time at your Vermont house.
The view is truly magnificent. The house itself is both spacious and homey and the kitchen perfectly equipped. You do not see often houses today with floors made up of soft wood planks, some as large as 16 inches wide. The outside shower is an imaginative and fun addition to the house. The cleanliness of the place was remarkable (congratulations to the maintenance crew).
We will be happy to use it again when we are back at the Marlboro Music Festival.
Our group spent two nights at this home last winter, for a weekend ski trip at nearby Mount Snow. We were blessed with great snow conditions, which made for a fantastic experience. "Rustic, charming, cozy, and peaceful" are truly appropriate descriptors for this home, and the view is unmatched!
If you are looking for the perfect getaway - close proximity to the mountains, quiet, comfortable accommodations, an impressive vinyl collection - look no further. The owners were very friendly and considerate, providing all details prior to our stay. I will plan to come back again, as soon the snow comes!
