About the property

Peaceful Place is a well appointed upstairs living space in historic downtown Hendersonville. My newly remodeled 1940 family home offers all the modern conveniences such as WiFi, cable TV, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The apartment is the entire second floor of my home. It is completely separate from the downstairs with a private entrance. It is a one bedroom, one and 1/2 bath with full kitchen and full size pull out sofa in the living room to sleep 4 in total comfortably.

The front porch is great for relaxing on the porch swing or cozy seating area. There is also a large back yard with deck, swing and seating for BBQ's and outside dining.

Walk to everything you'll love. We are just 4 short blocks from Main Street. Main Street offers excellent dining, play house theater, shopping and much more.

Wow Factor....What An Incredible Quaint Fun House And Town

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for New Years. Terrye is absolute the best. The house has incredible was even decorated for Christmas. We walked in and it was like being at home. Only better no work to be done. The apartment is immaculate. Terrye greated us, told us all about the apartment, had coffee, tea, wine and the most charming thing was she had left us the best bottle of Cava in the frig. Bed is comfortable as well as all of the other furnishings. Hendersonville is a very charming welcoming town. We had one of the best vacations in our 33 years of marriage. Very, very romantic. All of the restaurants we went to were awesome. Make sure you visit Jongo Java Coffeehouse you will not be disappointed. Thank you made our trip so special! We WILL be back.

Convenient to downtown Hendersonville

  • 5 of 5

A welcoming place that is convenient to downtown Hendersonville. This is truly an ideal location for taking advantage of all there is to offer in a really fun town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Owner is friendly, has good attention to detail and keeps the unit clean. Nice touches like candies in the foyer, along with racks containing tourism guides and visitor info.

Anniversary weekend

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The cake for our anniversary was a sweet surprise. Terrye met us on our arrival and gave us a tour. She had the apartment filled with sweet treats, coffee and also anything that we might have forgotten to pack! Short walk to downtown was very convenient.

Charming, comfortable and full of extras

  • 5 of 5

Terrye the owner and host was delightful - meeting us upon our arrival giving us a tour of the property inside and out. She filled us in things to do within town and nearby. She has the property stocked with extras ( such as chocolates, tourist things to do nearby, maps of the area, books of the history of the area, and for reading pleasure, games, and cooking supplies (olive oil, creamers, etc) till you hit the grocery stores - i.e. water, soda, salt/pepper/ coffees, soups, ice, plastic baggies, etc). The cottage apartment was a delight, plenty of room for my wife and myself to spread out in and relax, inside and outside. Walking distance to Main Street, only a 5-10 minute walk, depending upon your speed, and plenty of places to eat breakfast, lunch and supper. The cottage had everything we needed and more: a comfortable bed, sofa, chairs, dining table, fully stocked kitchen, all linens, and towels, a bath and a half, exactly as described on the Home away page. Terrye has 3 x working air conditioners, and two of them kept the apartment cool and very comfortable, dont remember the third every coming on. It rained twice while there, and bought the outside temperatures down and we sat on the porch, swinging, or in the rockers and enjoyed the cooler weather, and rainfall. in her backyard she had a deck, grill, hammock and tree swing. plenty of parking in front of the house, and easy access in and out to the main roads thru town. The property was well groomed, and well maintained, clean (spotless would be more accurate) in a great location. The activities nearby, 5 minutes to 30 minutes drive included the SKYTOP Orchard, what a view and all kinds of apple, peach trees full of apples for picking, u-pick um (maybe 20-30 minutes from the house); the Jump Off rock a wedding was getting ready to begin upon our arrival, but you could see four states from atop the rock (like 10-15 minute drive from the house); various national and state parks, waterfalls nearby, walking trails and white water rafting, great little towns to visit. We will do it again, that is for sure. We would recommend this property to any of our friends as a great place to stay for a short or longer period of time.
