About the property

4 Br, 3 1/2 Baths, Bonus Loft With Fold Out Couch & Bunk Beds, Incredible Views!

This beautiful, 2800 square foot, 4 Bedroom/3.5 Bath Townhome (with bonus loft!) is located at The Club at Crested Butte in the 640 acre Skyland Community, just 3 miles south of historic downtown Crested Butte. It is fully furnished and beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, hand built wrought iron railings, and two stone fireplaces. The spacious gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops and high-end stainless appliances.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or extreme skier, you will find Mount Crested Butte a “skier’s paradise,” with 121 trails spread over 1,547 acres in the rugged Elk Mountain Range of Southwestern Colorado.

Skyland backs up to Gunnison National Forest and sits at the base of majestic Mt. Crested Butte. Guests enjoy access to Grant Lake for fishing, canoeing, grilling, and gatherings. There are also many walking and bike paths, including trails that lead straight into downtown, where fabulous shopping and a variety of gourmet cuisines are found.

Described by Mountain Life Magazine as “one of the finest golf courses in the mountains, if not the entire country,” the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II Championship golf course is in view of the townhouse and available for tee times.

The area is surrounded by spectacular views of the Elk Mountain Range.

Activities for the entire family are available year-round. Enjoy hiking, fishing, rafting, biking, golfing, and more in the summer, when Crested Butte, the state’s wildflower capital, holds its annual Wildflower Festival in July. Autumn offers beautiful cool days and nights and spectacular fall foliage.

The townhouse is approximately 30 minutes from Gunnison and the Gunnison Airport.

The Master Bedroom on the main level has a king size bed and large bathroom with both shower and tub. The other three bedrooms are on the lower level: Bedrooms 2 and 3 (2 twins and 1 queen) share a bathroom, and Bedroom 4 (1 queen) has its own attached bath. An added bonus is the upper level loft space with a fold-out queen couch and bunk beds– perfect for a kids’ play/TV room. Full size washer and dryer. Half-bath on the main level.

I Could Live Here Permanently

  • 5 of 5

This home accommodated us perfectly. Comfort living room with Direct TV. A kitchen with high end appliances. Just wish we could have stayed longer to cook on that wonderful stove. The pantry had an assortment of items that if you were cooking might be just what you needed.

The view of the mountains from the Master bedroom was a welcome sight each morning. There was a full size washer and dryer if you need it. We are accustomed to air conditioning and found that most homes don't have air conditioning in the mountains. So, open all the windows at night to cool of the house and be sure to pull the shades on the east side in the morning and the west side in the afternoon. Once we figured that out it was very comfortable.

Carol is delightful to work with and very accommodating. Should be find Crested Butte to be a destination in the future we'd rent this home again.

Beautiful home in best location

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this is definitely one of our favorites! The home has lots of windows with beautiful views, and is very well appointed with beautiful furnishings, great artwork, comfortable beds, high end appliances, and top notch cookware. We loved staying in Skyland, a neighborhood surrounding the Golf Club at Crested Butte and on the back side of Crested Butte mountain. The house is only a 3 minute drive to town, but with the wide open spaces, beautiful views, and paved walking paths, it is a wonderful, welcome retreat from the hustle bustle of town and the ski mountain. Cross country ski trails start at the golf course and go all the way to town. Love this location and this house!

Don't overlook this gorgeous home

  • 5 of 5

This home suited our needs beautifully as an extended family in town for a wedding. From the linens to the kitchen the home is well appointed and the open concept allowed us to enjoy each other and hang out in multiple rooms. The loft upstairs was a hit with the little people! The townhouse alone may be the reason we book another trip back to Crested Butte!

Our group really enjoyed this comfortable, pretty home. The master bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and beautiful. The open concept kitchen, dining and living room were a great place for us to hang out and enjoy the views from every window. Kids enjoyed hanging out in the loft.

About Carol Vickery

We, the new owners, are two couples from Houston, Texas - good friends and excited about this magnificent home. We bought it primarily for our own use and that of our families, but we also want to share it with others.

Carol Vickery purchased this townhome in 2014

Why Carol Vickery chose Crested Butte

This is an incredible location for anytime of year. Our home is so close to town and to the slopes, the views are glorious, and there is nothing that will impede your view of the stars. Hiking trails, whether snowy or covered with leaves, are right out the back door. What more could you want?
