Great Vacation Rental
Rented this property to play some golf in the area. Information posted on the site was accurate. Awesome place to rent and the owners were fantastic to deal with. The owner of the property checked in to make sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. I would recommend this property to anyone as you will not be disappointed!
Great place to Stay
My husband and I along with another family book a get away around this time every year - we were looking for something a bit closer to home and this location was perfect! We wanted something on a lake (this one was just above the lake - accessible via steeper pathway, or driving/walking to the nearby docks) The Log House had plenty of room - allowed for one family to make the basement home, my husband and I the loft, and still allowed for an additional friend to join us! We all had out own space to go 'home' to after spending the days together. The Log House was beautiful and had space and pretty much everything you need. A large deck overlooking the trees and lake below was great, they left camping chairs for us to use which was great, there was a picnic table on the deck and a BBQ which we used daily. The log house is situated in a community of other beautiful homes. There is crown land not far from the cabin which was great for walking and getting a stunning view of the lake and the train tracks below. A bald eagle seemed to hang out in the trees there as well. There are lots of hiking/biking trails nearby if one is looking for things to do. Fairmont and Invermere aren't far drives, so if you need to restock on anything, it's easy enough to get to. The owners were there to greet us when we showed up, showing us all we needed to know about their home to make our stay most comfortable. David was great to work with and was quick to respond to emails both before, during and after our trip. They take great pride in their home which they built themselves, and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful time and are happy to have had opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home in a beautiful location! Thank you!
This property was excellent for our extended family getaway. After a warm welcome from the owner, we were pleased to confirm that the home itself is beautiful with a craftsman interior that was clearly finished with pride. The views from the property are amazing and the large, beautiful windows ensure you are able to take advantage of that all the time. Gorgeous and spacious deck areas help you to take full advantage of the outside as well. The finished basement makes an excellent play area for children, and had the whole family utilize that space at one time or another to watch movies or play games. Aside from the beautiful and relaxing nature of the home itself, a highlight for us was all the surrounding walking trails. The community lends itself to really nice walks through the neighborhood, but the walks out into the crown land around the lake were fantastic, leading to great views. We will be returning soon!
Just 5 minutes from the town of Fairmont Hot Springs, 20 minutes to Invermere, 40 minutes to Kimberley and 50 minutes to Cranbrook.
As well as the Hot Springs pool at Fairmont, there are also the natural Lussier Hot Springs located in White Swan National Park, just 5 minutes south.
On the way here from Fairmont, the Hoodoos are seen off the highway, a fabulous hiking experience.
