I’m a lifetime Alaskan and I’ve enjoyed a remarkable time growing up in this state. I've had countless wonderful memories living in this home and have enjoyed the bounty of this beautiful area. I'm looking forward to offering the same experience to others. Homer is an incredibly beautiful place with friendly people and many enchanting things to do. I hope you enjoy my home and your time here as much as I do. Camai (pronounced cha-my and is a Yupik word for 'welcome')
Our family enjoys nature, boating, fishing, and camping and Homer offers all of this in a fantastically beautiful setting so it was a gift to settle here. There are bike and hiking trails throughout the Homer area that are close by.
The view of kachemak bay, the mountains, glaciers, and the ever-changing sky are what attracted us to this spot. It's close to town and also a short trip above us leads to many beautifully forested areas. I love to be in the yard and especially enjoy tending to the flower gardens. The house itself has an open floor plan, which feels spacious and is great for entertaining.

This home is immaculate and welcoming. Our party of seven fully enjoyed our early spring stay. The home provided everything, and I mean everything, that any vacationer would need for a multi-family visit to Homer. The kitchen was stocked with spices, condiments, and any type of pot or pan you need. Patty very helpful by providing local attractions and personalized welcome note for our hockey players. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Homer the next time.
We liked what we saw on the internet and started a dialog with Patty, the owner. She was extremely helpful and thoughtful. We asked a lot of questions and thought we may be asking too much, but Patty was always willing to answer us and give us all kinds of ideas(with web sites) for things to do in the area. The property is on the side of a hill overlooking Kachemak Bay. We fell in love with the place the second we drove into the driveway; the view is awesome! We must have 50 pictures of just this view. We arrived late but that was no problem since access is by a keypad that Patty had all set up for us. We had 7 people, 2 of these were kids(7 &10), 2 were over 65. I was nursing a broken hip so I had a cane but the steps to the house were easy and I had no problems anywhere on the property. Several nights a few of stayed up late and saw three moose eating Patty's flowers. Patty probably does not like it, but being from Texas, we thought it was one of the highlights of the trip. One day after we had been out sightseeing we came back to the house and found that Patty had picked strawberries from her garden and left us a container of them. Patty had also mentioned that we could pick a few stalks of rhubarb from her garden so we did that and made strawberry/rhubarb pie for dessert. It was delicious! I had never had an owner do that before. It was really a nice touch. The yard was immaculate as well, with all kinds of beautiful flowers around. Patty also left a lawn golf game for us to use; we played with it almost everyday. In the mornings we took coffee outside to sit at the table in the yard and just enjoy the view and fresh air. After a day of site seeing we again were outside, this time with a cold drink to absorb more view. One evening we made a fire outside and toasted marshmallows and made s'mores with graham crackers and chocolate. Another treat! The inside of the house was well maintained and there was plenty of room for us with some to spare. The kitchen was well stocked, which is good, since two of our group really like to hang out there and the rest of us like the results of that. The kids enjoyed the TV a few nights.(nice speaker system) There are all kinds of things to do in the area and Patty mentioned 8-10 in e-mails before we arrived, but she also has a table that has all kinds of local information. All in all, we highly recommend Patty's place even above VRBO properties we have rented in Seward, Maine, & Costa Rica.
