Lovely apartment in the Montrose area with easy access to grocery stores HEB and Randalls, as well as many restaurants and bars. Wooden floors, central a/c and heating. Private parking, washer and dryer. Rental is furnished with utilities paid for cable TV, wireless high speed internet, electric, gas and water. Animals on a case by case basis. We also offer housekeeping during your stay for an additional cost.
My name is Lisa Thompson. That's me and my boyfriend, Avi in the picture. I'm a realtor, a lawyer, I own/operate a bed & breakfast in Montrose, I work for United Airlines, I manage properties for myself as well as for clients. In short, I'm a workaholic. That doesn't mean I don't know how to have a great time. I love to run with my running club, Bayou City Road Runners, and regularly host a charity yard sale for them out of one of my garages. I love trivia night at The Harp, beer at Valhalla on the Rice University Campus and bingo in the Heights. If you're not sure what to do while you're in Houston just ask me, I'm sure to have a suggestion for any personality type.

The property is accurate as described. Driveway is tight getting in and out of property. Also, there is some traffic from the school across the street at drop off and pick up times. Otherwise, the location is pretty good. There were some issues with maintenance and housekeeping was not up to par. Lisa, the property manager, was easily accessible by phone and offered to send someone to re-clean. We declined since we had our dog staying on property with us. She also came over personally to address some of issues (2 light bulbs out, low toilet paper, more towels) but some (cracked window glass and loose vents) had to wait until after our stay to be fixed.
We didn´t get to know Liz, but her associate Gina, who took care of us.
We hadn´t any problem with cleanliness and found everything as advertised.
The property lies in a quiet neighborhood, but near to restaurants, museums and supermarkets, which all can be reached by foot.
We where only two people, though the apartment has space for 4, but I think the only bathroom will be get a little crowded. But considering the relation price - value, this is a great place to stay.
Pleasant accommodation with lots of light and off street parking in a great part of town within walking distance to the museums and restaurants. Lisa is a great host and will happily guide you to the best places in the area.
Stayed here for a week for house hunting. Moved from CA for work. The actual house is a good 2 bedroom 1 bath size which worked for a small family ( 3adults, 1 child). It is located in a quiet and safe street, walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Huge storage for clothes/luggage. However, not sure what happened but when we checked in after being told that the cleaning lady has finished cleaning, the bathroom was very disappointing. There was smelly black sludge around the sink and the knobs, and the drain in the tub was rusty and didn't look like it was cleaned. There was a foul smell coming out of it. However, after a long cross country move, we just didn't have the energy to tell the landlord to clean it assuming that it would disrupt our sleep and settling in when/if they decided to resolve the issue. The floor was dusty as well and was especially evident when I looked under the couch to look for a toy.
Again, this house is accurately described but cleanliness is important!!!! Especially if you are charging for cleaning fee. Also, the couch could use a little TLC or better yet, replacement as it is extremely saggy and bumpy in some places. It was uncomfortable to sit on.
Customer service could be better, IMO. Out of 7 days of stay, we didn't get a text asking how it's going or if we needed anything. I think it shows how much you care for the level of comfort your guests experience staying at your unit.
I'm a little disappointed that I had to rate it 2 stars because the listing and location are both ideal but maybe make sure to voice out cleanliness concerns when booking.
