Having been born and brought up abroad, I came to Holyport village in pursuit of playing polo having caught the bug in South Africa. I have owned three properties in the village as I love it and the community so much.
Elaine purchased this Cottage in 2011
Why Elaine chose Maidenhead
Property rarely comes up for sale in this village as no one moves from here as its such a perfect location for London and Windsor while still having the tranquillity and community spirit of the village.
What makes this Cottage unique
Perfectly located in the village with two great pubs either end of the street who serve great food and beverages. The village is fantastically located for Windsor Castle, LEGOLAND, Bray ( The Fat Duck and The Waterside Inn)and London ( 19mins train ride). It has a sunlit court yard with comfy seating at the back and a lovely wood burner for the winter months. It has been recently renovated in a contemporary style but keeping the cottage's original features. It has a well equipped kitchen along with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob and microwave.

Very nice, cosy little house
We are a family of 4 that stayed 2 nights in the cottage. Very nicely decorated with a wood fire. Several nice pubs within walking distance.
This cottage is delightful. In a lovely village, comfortable and well equipped. Don’t hesitate!!!
We stayed at this cottage over Christmas, myself, my husband and our 16 year old son. The log burner helped to add to the cosy feel and we found it very relaxing. The area is well known to us and we were there to visit family and friends. With two bathrooms and spacious bedrooms we felt we made a great choice and would certainly book again. We have a large car and we were able to park it in the parking area in front of the property, very useful. The small court yard garden would be lock-in the warmer months and accessed from a spacious well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the whole cottage was nice and clean. Thank you to our host Elaine we were happy we stayed at your property.
2, jubilee cottages
We stayed here in November and it was very cosy and clean, ideal for 2 couples. We enjoyed the log burner and it is a very comfortably furnished cottage with a good sized, well fitted kitchen. The village is picturesque with plenty of pubs and shops, we had a great meal in the white hart almost next door! We enjoyed a good walk from the cottage to the river.
Lovely little cottage
Lovely property in a great location. Great communication with the owner and plenty of recommendations for the local area.
Lovely little cottage. Clean and equipped with everything you need. I would recommend it. However a couple of points which would make it 5 stars from me. The plug for the bath does not fit so was unable to use it. The mattresses on the single beds are very hard and gave us both very sore backs.
A beautiful little hideaway
What can I say, this beautiful well maintained cottage was nestled in the lovely village of Holyport near Maidenhead.
I was travelling alone with work and wanted somewhere where I would feel safe and comfortable and as soon as I walked into the cottage, it just felt like home.
It is very spacious, with every amenity you could wish for, including some lovely country pubs just a short walking distance from the cottage and is approximately a 20 minute commutable journey to the centre of Maindenhead.
Outside of the property there is a beautifully kept cottage garden with seating area, which is not overlooked and wonderful in the summer months to just sit and relax with a glass of wine, good food and great company.
All in all, a wonderful stay and would be ideal for either a single traveller, couple or family and I will certainly be staying again, even if I am not working in the area as it will always be my little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of working life.
