This charming beach bungalow represents the classic Pleasure Point beach accommodation. It has been recently remodeled, including: exterior and interior paint, new roof, new hardwood floor, new light fixtures and window treatments, new bedroom carpeting, and patio landscaping.

Located less than 2 blocks from the beach, it is a short walk to the 38th Avenue stairs or a stroll down East Cliff Drive.

The property is also located just 2 blocks from the quaint 41st Avenue downtown area, making it easy to access local coffee shops, restaurants, surf shops, and other local businesses, just a short walk away.

The kitchen in the bungalow is fully stocked, and also plenty of beach amenities are provided including surfboards, paddle board, boogie boards, beach chairs & towels, beach cruisers, etc.

We are a Menlo Park family that frequently uses the Bungalow, along with the Owner's House at the back of the property, as a beach and surf destination to enjoy with friends and family.

Why Laurie Knox chose Central Coast

We purchased the property because it is perfectly situated in Pleasure Point within walking distance of both the best beaches and surf, and 41st Street downtown. Being 2 blocks up from the beach, we have a double lot size compared to most houses 1 block up, and have a nice side patio for outdoor relaxation, BBQ'ing and dining al fresco.

What makes this bungalow unique

The Bungalow is small, but has incredible beach charm. We have enjoyed renovating the Bungalow and have made it perfect for our family's beach getaways. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors all friendly, as you will find in the laid-back Pleasure Point area.

Our family loved this cute little beach cottage. Very clean and a very well-stocked kitchen. The location in Pleasure Point is wonderful. We loved the easy walking access to both the beach and the shops and restaurants in town.

Delightful little beach cottage!

We absolutely loved staying in this delightful, cozy little beach cottage. The beds and linens were so comfy, kitchen very well stocked and so nice to have all the beach equipment. We also so enjoyed hanging out in the side patio. This was our first visit to Santa Cruz, and it is beautiful. This little cottage is in a perfect location to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, The Hook (where we watched our son surf) etc. etc. We have a wonderful time and can wait to come back to Santa Cruz and stay in this little cottage. I highly recommend to everyone to come to Santa Cruz and stay here.

Small, charming cottage in ideal location

Our family of five really enjoyed the Knoxs' cottage, which was clean, charming and all we needed for a fun Santa Cruz weekend. They've done a lot to turn a smaller, rustic joint into a warm, inviting space: Solidly stocked kitchen. Good beds and bedding. Comfy seating. Functional outdoor area. Nice design flourishes. And we really appreciated the cottage having so much beach gear so we didn't need to bring all of our own. Pleasure Point is a great part of town to stay in for surfers -- the beach is indeed just down the street -- and those who want a little quiet with their coffee (in fact, nearby Cat & Cloud Coffee is outstanding). We would definitely stay again!

Cute and cozy home close to the beach with all amenities you need!

We were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids ages 6 and 2), all family, and had a great time staying here for 2 nights. Very nice, warm, cozy and comfortable place. Kids loved the bunk beds and the adults too! My son loved playing the Xbox occasionally. We didn't use the kitchen much since we were out all day pretty much but it was fully equipped. There is one bathroom so be prepared to plan the shower/brush routine so there isn't a queue! The patio area is great. Good places to eat close by. Beach is a short walk away. Overall we had fun and would have explored the house and surroundings more if we had more time to stay!

Great Beach Cottage!

Great experience! Loved the location - really fun to watch all the surfers. The house is the best stocked I have ever rented through VRBO. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, laundry and for the beach. We had flown in so really appreciated it. Loved the quiet and private patio on the side where we ate meals and hung out. Good donut place within walking distance too for coffee and treats in the morning. Teens also used the bikes which they loved. Highly recommend. Also enjoyed the local Patagonia outlet and the redwoods in the state park just outside of town.

Perfect beach cottage!

This house is perfect! We had such a great stay. It is walking distance to the ocean and surf as well as restaurants, coffee shots, convenient stores, etc. The house is located in the best and most beautiful area of Santa Cruz. It has everything you need and the booking process is smooth and easy. Such a lovely getaway. Thanks for a wonderful time in Santa Cruz! We are looking forward to coming back.

Our charming Beach Bungalow is located in the heart of Santa Cruz's Pleasure Point area, just 2 blocks from the beach. This is home to the world reknowned surf area 'The Point' and 'The Hook' and some of Santa Cruz's best beaches.

The Bungalow is also conveniently located 2 blocks from the quaint downtown area of 41st Avenue, home to many local shops, restaurants, surf shops, and local stores.

It is a quiet neighborhood, and a great place to relax for the weekend or longer, stroll along East Cliff with a view of the ocean, walk along the beach, or enjoy some of Capitola and Santa Cruz's best restaurants. Dive into the ocean with your surfboard, or head up to the mountains for a hike or mountain bike ride.

Take a 10-minute drive up the coast to visit the classic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, or a 3-mile trip up to the Santa Cruz Harbor where you can watch the boats come in and out of the channel or rent a kayak.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a 50-minute drive to the south, or stop in at the Kayak Connection in Moss Landing just 21 miles down Highway 1 and paddle around with the sea otters and harbor seals.

Whatever you decide to do, rest assured there is something for everyone and you will leave feeling relaxed and wanting to come back to the beach!
