The main level of this home, the middle floor, features enormous windows that allow views of the lake, as well as a cozy sitting room and a full kitchen and dining area. Around the home you will have entertainment options including a TV with a selection of VHS movies to watch, board games, and even a game room downstairs with a foosball table.

If you head upstairs to the loft above the living room, you will find a sleeping area with a queen-size bed. The main level features two bedrooms, each with its own lovely queen-size bed where guests will sleep soundly. This home offers two full bathrooms, both with a shower (no tub) and a laundry area, which will come in handy after a few days of playing in the lake and out on the sand dunes.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Christmas Get Away - with Kids and Dogs Included

 • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time using this house as our home away from home, and base of operations for daily Dune and Beach exploration. It was modest and slightly dated, but still very effective and practically perfect in every way.

The area is stunning, and the location of the rental itself is serene and secluded. Lots to do in such close proximity.

It was amazing that even in the dead of winter, so much outdoor enjoyment could be had within the Florence vicinity. We hiked dunes and walked ocean beaches with our two dogs and four kids daily. Returning to the cozy warmth of the house and hot tub to relax and unwind.

Mind you - our kids are 4, 7, 12, & 14. They all fit, had a blast, and didn't even really drive us crazy.

The South Jetty Road had great dune trails and access to the ocean which we returned to a couple of times to try new trails, and the Dune Overlook trail was out of this world - the kids loved running full speed down the mountains of sand and taking in the ocean view from the highest sand peak we could find to climb.

The kitchen was plenty adequate and we used it to the fullest extent, making all of our meals; even roasting a whole chicken with fixings, soups, and baking a couple batches of short bread. We feasted and had culinary fun as if we were at our own home.

The extensive VHS collection was a throwback and crack up for us; we couldn't resist watching a couple with the kids and taking in "Misery" after they went to bed. The living room/dining/kitchen worked out great for us as an open space to all sit and watch a movie, play games and do puzzles.

We had read mention in reviews of heating issues, but experienced none even during frosty temps. I even had to turn things down a bit.

Having two bathrooms, and three separate bedrooms was essential for our family's needs and worked great. We were well housed in the upper floor and hardly even went downstairs, save for laundry and showering.

We even went to see the Sea Lion Cave, played some fousball and did a morning polar bear plunge off the private dock; running back up the trail to hop in the hot tub and sip Mimosa's.

The hot tub was definitely wonderful; the lake is in view and trees over head. Lovely.

It was hard to leave and return to reality, but this was an awesome way for our family to get away and celebrate a less commercial form of Christmas.

Thanks!!!

Gorgeous view.

 • 3 of 5

This little A-frame house has a beautiful view. Its access to the lake makes it a lovely place to get away. The windows facing the lake are wonderful to sit in and gaze out. The summer would be the ideal time to rent this house when you could take advantage of the large deck and proximately to the lake.

Many issues need to be addressed

 • 1 of 5

This was the worst VRBO we have ever rented. Dirty. No thought to guests comfort. An old house, which is fine, but not even the smallest thought to how people function when in residence. Very dirty in certain areas. Kitchen cabinets were black with filth, floors were gritty, hairy and dusty. Obviously, no representative from the management company (VACASA)has visited or looked into what the actual guest might need to be comfortable. Bathmat? one box of Kleenex? Dishtowels? Side table and light by at least one side of a bed. Other thoughts, but don't want to seem unreasonable. The sofa was so worn with the pads having been flipped, but the lining now ripped and showing. We have stayed in many older homes, but if they are clean and have a few basic thoughts to the way guests live, we are always fine.

It looks like this home is for sale. Rental income is a gift, and obviously, no money is or will be expended on any updates. A touchup of paint and a good cleaning, and a view of what basics are missing would make this a beautiful location. A plug in the lower bathroom would be nice also.

The house was located in a beautiful area. The dock was the best part of our stay. Getting to it was a bit of a challenge, but well worth the small walk down.

Do not rent this property unless the issues of cleanliness and comfort are taken care of. Obviously, this is not a rental geared to the guests in any way.
