About Lee Barker or Darren Livingston

We moved to Windermere in 1995 with our two children. We absolutely love the valley for all the activities around us. The people are friendly & we were taken back by the beauty & way of life here. The terrain is incredible, as we like to hike, mountain bike, run, paddle, back country ski, cross country ski, skate: the list goes on!

Lee Barker or Darren Livingston purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Lee Barker or Darren Livingston chose Lake Windermere

We had the opportunity to buy this unique property & couldn't pass it up. There is no other property in the valley like this you have the best of both worlds with water front, mountains right in town but on your very own peninsula. The water comes to life with birds & all sorts of wild life it is truly a unique spot.

What makes this cottage unique

The views are incredible & quite peaceful as you are in town yet it is very private. You can chose to take advantage of the water & sights or relax, sit back & unwind.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed watching the fish & deer off the dock in the mornings. We had a great time, thanks again, cool spot!

Stunning setting

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from our time there, and it was fantastic. Everyone loved the water, especially the dogs. Theres a ton of wildlife in the area, and we frequently saw deer, ducks, eagles and many other animals. The kayaks were a great way to explore the wetlands and was worth the effort. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back again soon.

Amazing location

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful vacation with family and would definately return to this vacation property! Easy access for paddling boarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and anything else water related. We loved not having to load up our paddle board and kayak everyday and head to a destination. We were at the DESTINATION!

Beautiful peaceful property no neighbours so very private absolutely loved the location and kayaks

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin, clean, comfy, all the amenities needed for cooking, bbq, making a fire, kayaking swimming. Extras in cabin like tin foil, plastic bags, paper towels and bags. As well as games - including monopoly!!

Close drive to grocery store or quick walk to restaurant. Easily Toddler proofed indoors and with life jacket kids did well outside. Took our strollers and walked around the property and to nearby amenities. Beautiful lake can take kayak right from property to paddle up to neighbouring beach where there's a water trampoline or the opposite way for a scenic mountain view. Tons of DVDs to watch if raining. Laundry machine in cabin. Super soft towels in bathroom with lots of beach towels. Nice bedding. Cabin looked renovated inside and did not have any odours or perfumes. Restaurant within five minute walk. Dairy Queen also close by. Yet cabin is secluded on its own end of the water away from traffic and neighbours. Owners were very responsive to our questions and helpful. Beautiful beaches and playgrounds. 20 min drive to Fantasia in fairmont or the hot springs. Would definatley stay here again (:

Fantastic little spot

  • 5 of 5

We vacationed at this property May 12-19. Perfect time to avoid bugs.

We were amazed how private and secluded the location is while being so close to all amenities and local attractions.

Kids loved fishing from the dock and it was great to take kayak rides around the wetland watching all kinds of incredible birds.

Hosts were very responsive and accommodating - thank you very much!

The property has everything one could possibly need on vacation.

Overall 5 stars on all counts.

Fantastic cottage with breathtaking view

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cottage for one week in October. We loved the location (even if at first it seems a little strange). It was so peaceful, the view was spectacular and had a lot of room for the kids to run and play. The cottage is perfect, very cute inside. Close to all little shops downtown Invermere but still felt like we were on our own little island. We loved it and would got back without any hesitations.
