About Lee Barker or Darren Livingston

We moved to Windermere in 1995 with our two children. We absolutely love the valley for all the activities around us. The people are friendly & we were taken back by the beauty & way of life here. The terrain is incredible, as we like to hike, mountain bike, run, paddle, back country ski, cross country ski, skate: the list goes on!

Lee Barker or Darren Livingston purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Lee Barker or Darren Livingston chose Lake Windermere

We had the opportunity to buy this unique property & couldn't pass it up. There is no other property in the valley like this you have the best of both worlds with water front, mountains right in town but on your very own peninsula. The water comes to life with birds & all sorts of wild life it is truly a unique spot.

What makes this cottage unique

The views are incredible & quite peaceful as you are in town yet it is very private. You can chose to take advantage of the water & sights or relax, sit back & unwind.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed watching the fish & deer off the dock in the mornings. We had a great time, thanks again, cool spot!

Unbelievable location, close to everything you need, but you feel like you are on your own island

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed 2 nights, but easily could have made this our only stop in the vacation. With 2 young children this house was ideal and really made our trip. Next time we will definitely stay longer.

Secluded Rental with Private Dock

  • 5 of 5

This rental received many positive reviews.

I agree with what others have said.

It is very private with no neighbours, traffic or other pets.

What attracted me to this property is that they allow well behaved dogs.

I could take them down to the water anytime or anywhere on the property and not worry about interacting with other dogs, traffic or people.

The house was perfect for our needs.

Lots of things including full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms.

Many extras including magazines, bird book, tourist information.

Easy and convenient parking.

Excellent BBQ and deck with outside furniture.

Bonus is the boat house for which I contained a canoe and three kayaks with accessories.

The house was clean and neat and I made the effort to keep it that way.

I would love to rent this property again.

Lovely private riverfront retreat

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed our stay at 'the spit.' We explored the wetlands everyday - on paddle boards and used the kayaks available. We saw Eagles, Osprey, Herons, Kingfishers and got to see the deer and fawns come to the river to drink several times. Despite the proximity to the bridge, we felt very private surrounded by the Willow trees and being able to walk to DQ and get take out at Fuze (sp?) was a bonus! The cottage provided everything we needed - the river view from the master bedroom was awesome. Thanks very much!

Beautiful private waterfront getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our first stay at this wonderful property - and it won't be our last! What a unique property - right within town, but feels like it is your own private getaway. The cottage was nicely renovated within with a well appointed kitchen and very comfy beds/bedding. The master bedroom has a stunning view over the water, and the owner's kayaks we were able to use with our rental (at a reasonable extra charge) were so great to have access to, plus we rented a SUP board from 5 minutes away at Columbia rentals for additional fun. All in all, we spent most days on the water. A wonderful relaxing weekend for sure.

Stunning setting

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from our time there, and it was fantastic. Everyone loved the water, especially the dogs. Theres a ton of wildlife in the area, and we frequently saw deer, ducks, eagles and many other animals. The kayaks were a great way to explore the wetlands and was worth the effort. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back again soon.
