About Linda

We have lived on the North Shore for 20 years and have come to love the breadth of activity and beauty that it offers. When we found this home we immediately fell in love with the location and setting. We will one day move into this wonderful home when we become empty-nesters. For now, this great location and setting are yours to enjoy.

Linda purchased this house boat in 2014

Why Linda chose North Vancouver

The home allows one to get away from it all and still be close to all the attractions Vancouver has to offer. Whether you want to hike the local mountains or wine and dine downtown, you will be close to it all.

What makes this house boat unique

Enjoy nature and city living in one convenient location. This tranquil, modern, float home is a unique and memorable experience. Located in the outdoor playground of the North Shore with easy access to downtown Vancouver. Easy access to numerous mountain trails, three local ski hills, Whistler and Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. A twelve minute sea bus ride to downtown, the Canada line and Vancouver International Airport.

Foodies will enjoy the walk to the Quay for fresh, local seafood and produce that can be brought back and prepared in a gourmet kitchen.

There is a workshop on the lower level for storing your bikes or tuning your skis. Power up the Sonos and enjoy your favourite music as you work.

awesome property and location.

This is the ideal rental and blows away any hotel any day. Spotless accommodations, beautiful views of downtown Vancouver, the harbour and mountains. Our party of 5 were very comfortable and spent most of our time sitting on the second floor deck taking in the marina goings on and the views. Great location that is within walking distance of everything. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this rental and we are all looking forward to returning next year!

Perfect Vancouver Experience

  • 5 of 5

The houseboat is well appointed and perfectly located to explore North Vancouver as well as downtown. It exceeded our expectations. Everything you could need whether you want to enjoy a barbq on the heated deck, a home cooked meal around the dining table, or cocktails and appies by the fire before or after heading out for innumerable restaurant options. The sea bus makes getting downtown a breeze and the view of the city, mountains and marina is lovely.

Outstanding experience

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this fantastic floating home for 3.5 months while waiting for our new home to be built. While we were long time residents of North Vancouver, we were amazed at how little we actually knew or had experienced in the Lower Lonsdale area. We more or less parked our car for the entire time and accessed every possible amenity (grocery, market, drug store, movies, restaurants, pubs etc) by foot. The added bonus of a short walk to access the Seabus to downtown Vancouver and all it has to offer, made the entire experience even more spectacular.

The home itself was very well appointed, very comfortable, and incredibly relaxing given the spectacular view out the front window and off the front deck.

The owners, James and Linda, were incredibly welcoming and responsive to our every need. The concept of living on a floating home is one we are certainly glad we have experienced, and given the location and amenities provided in this one, is an experience you will talk about the rest of your lives.

Wonderful and convenient place to stay with super friendly host!

  • 5 of 5

Staying in this float home was an experience that we would recommend to those looking for a beautifully appointed and modern place to stay – that is also unique. The views cannot be beat - looking out at the marina and downtown Vancouver in the distance. We watched the sunset each night on the deck.

The home has all the conveniences that you would need, with a fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas in an open concept.

We found the location at the marina to be very convenient to get to and with amenities close by. We were able to walk to a few minutes to restaurants and the Sea Bus to ride across the bay into Vancouver.

Linda was very attentive and gave us lots of helpful information to make our stay extra special. We will keep this on our list to visit again!

We miss it already!

This family of four - mom, dad and twin seventeen year old daughters had a WONDERFUL stay in this lovely float home. Our hosts, Linda and James made us feel very welcome. Fresh flowers, cheese, bread and Pellegrino water, upon arrival was so welcoming! We really appreciated that!

The design of the float home is not only beautiful but also extremely well planned out. All appliances are top knotch and highly functional. Kitchen supplies were abundant, it was so easy to shop local markets and come home after busy days and still be able to have a nice home made dinner.

We loved the location! We didn't have a car, nor did we need one. The almost daily commute to downtown Vancouver was made more enjoyable by taking the sea bus!

There is so much to do and see in a city like Vancouver, but we wound up enjoying our "down" time in this warm and cosy home very much! When it rained we enjoyed the fireplace indoors, when it was sunny we enjoyed the umbrella on the terrace with gorgeous views of downtown Vancouver!

We highly recommend this property and we very much thank the owners, Linda and James.
