Check out Camp Beech, this Interior Designer's vacation home nestled right on Smith Mountain Lake. We just refurbished inside and out and you will be the first to enjoy this charming home tucked in the woods.

Open floor plan w/ 2-stories and 2000 square feet. Great Room has brick wood-burning fireplace, television and sliding glass door to deck. Living, Dining, & Kitchen are open & perfect for large gatherings. Kitchen has a large central island. Game Room is perfect for hanging out and enjoying the Lower Level. Kids Corner has books, games, and toys. Home is tastefully furnished and decorated in a Martha Stewart feel...very comfortable & warm.

This home rests on a private, natural, park-like 3.5 acres & has nice deck & patio space. You feel like you are at a high end, rustic camp. Multiple outdoor furnishings & a grill are provided. The property has great rock out cropping and an outside fire pit overlooking the water with seating.

The dock is one of the best features of this home. It has a 16' x 25' Party Dock on a deep water cove. The kids will love jumping off this dock and swimming is the beautiful clear waters of the quiet cove. We have floats and noodles for your use. There is plenty of room to park your watercraft right at the dock. The lot is not flat, but it is not steep. There is a golf cart trail to the dock or a direct nature trail from the house to the dock.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Food Lion grocery store, restaurants, public boat ramp and wineries are only a few miles drive.

The house has a circular drive & additional parking is available on site.

Comfortable beds & linens are provided and the home is well stocked. We have rented numerous vacation homes and we wanted Camp Beech to have all the amenities we have found valuable. The home has cable TV, limited wifi and a full laundry room. A high chair and pack-n-play crib are onsite for your convenience.

Sleeping chart floor plans are available for planning purposes. The home is no pets & non-smoking. Sleeps 6 + children 2 and under.

The home has new everything: paint, flooring, bathrooms, roof, kitchen, appliances, will feel like you are staying in a brand new home but in a mature and rustic, beautiful setting. You will not be disappointed!

Great Home, Great Host!

  • 5 of 5

Great place, VERY clean, Very well stocked, Very comfortable home. The cove where the house is located is small and quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked. Beth was very accommodating and helpful. The only not so positive thing is that it was very hot in the basement. She offered to bring more fans, but we had some and there just wasn't enough cold air in the basement. Upstairs was fine. Good news though is that she will be fixing that very soon. This detail wouldn't stop me from renting again.

Great stay!

  • 4 of 5

First of all, let me just say that smith mountain lake is the greatest warmest cleanest lake I've ever been to. The houses that sit on the lake are beautiful. This house is in a great location. Close to bridgewater marina Wich is a great stop for boat rental, food, supplies and gas. The grocery store was 9 mins. Away which was great for us. The house was fabulous. Especially the kitchen... everything is top of the line and new. All the linens are ones that you would find in a 5 star hotel. Everything was brand new. The house itself and the house location are 5 stars. I absolutly loved the big dining table. There are 3 cons to this rental wich in my opinion make it 4 stars. 1- is the limited wifi hotspot. We had 3 teens with us and they blew thru the aloted amount in 2 days. 2- is the landscape to get to the lake and back is difficult. In the owners defence i believe the landscape is still in the works. The "nature trail" is quite a climb and the direct path has minimal steps and mostly just a muddy steep path. 3- is the garbage. There was 2 garbage cans but only one had a lid. There are critters that try to tear into the garbage at night so I recomend covering the can with something. At the end of your vacation you have to pack all your garbage into your car and take it to a dump that's 15 mins away. Besides those 3 cons, there is no other cons. The house is top of the line and we would stay again. The owner beth was very nice and accomadating. You could tell that she takes pride in providing a good rental.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your great feedback. Wifi can be a challenge at SML. A hotspot or satellite are your only options and they offer limited data. We provide a Verizon hotspot which is great for email, surfing, facebook but it uses data very quickly if you are live streaming or downloading. Trash stations are also used by most seasonal SML owners and guests. I sent map/directions to our local trash station which is only 3 miles away but I incorrectly printed the wrong address in our instructions. I will get this updated ASAP. Thanks! Beth
