Best location in Old Town Scottsdale....just map it. A block away for the W hotel without the craziness. One level with nothing above. Walking distance to hundreds of bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, art galleries, banks, grocery stores etc. Even walk to Giants Stadium and Fashion Square. If you have ever been to Phoenix or Scottsdale you know that this the the place to be. The condo has been remodeled to a clean clutter free oasis. At the same time it has everything you would need in your own home. You won't believe the convenience and comfort of this one level condo.

Great old town Scottsdale location

This is an older property with 12 or so units near old town Scottsdale. Directly across the street is an open development area where a major project will soon be under construction, and with it noise, dirt and traffic. The unit has been partially remodeled mostly with bright paint schemes and minimalist IKEA like furnishings. The kitchen area has very nice new appliances and counter tops and was well stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and roomy, but the master suite bathroom had no door on it so no real privacy. The living room has a large wall mounted flat panel TV but the Apple TV system requires the technical expertise of a NASA engineer. No protected parking was provided, rather you park on the street with a city "guest pass" so your vehicle isn't ticketed. A very small unheated pool and pool area can accommodate no more than 5 or 6 individuals. Location is the feature point of this property. Old town Scottsdale is only a couple of minutes away and weekend bar noise can be heard outside the unit well into the night. The owner of the unit and the property HOA president were both accessible and responsive. We were busy and on the go during our visit so our stay was good. This is not a romantic, nor even a "lounge around" property. It is much rather a comfortable place to rest your head, best suited for 3-4 guy spring training or golf stays. Not so much for senior citizens!!!!

Substandard and unsanitary

The pictures of this condo and the description are false. The property is not taken care of. We found ripped screens with door handles missing, filthy appliances, inadequate cooking & baking pans, expired food in the fridge, a condom in the bed etc. The design choices missed the mark and many pose a safety hazards. A loose vanity in the guest bathroom, a bedroom door that does not close, outdoor relaxing area with not even a chair to sit in. Owner was responsive but basically dismissed our concerns. When you pay a premium price during high season, it should have all the necessities. Definitely not VRBO worthy

Owner's Response: I respect every guest and all their concerns. I spoke to this guest several times while staying in the unit and invited her to talk about the issues when she demanded $642 refund. She said she wouldn't post a negative review if I did that. I did refund $200 and let her know that she is free to leave a negative comment. This was prior to me having the pictures send to me. The pictures proves gross exaggeration.. The property is professionally maintained and cleaned after every single guest. This guests has grossly exaggerated all comments and threatened disrupting future bookings unless I returned almost half her payment I received. The rip in the screen is recent and the size of a dime. The appliances were clean with exception of the oven which barely had anything on the bottom. My cleaners should have cleaned but even I could not see it until the picture was zoomed in. There were cooking and baking pans but the guest was upset that the dimensions she wanted was not there. The food in the fridge were condiments left for her convince with the exception on one jar a previous guest left. Condom in the bed? The sheets are laundered every single time and the unit is inspected by a friend after each cleaning from this reputable cleaning service. I really don't see how this can happen. The only place the plastic moose head could fit was next to the dining room table which is pictured. The bedroom door closes so not sure about what she is saying. The outdoor area has two stools. It is pictured. In addition, the guest complained that the towels (not included the 6 brand new sets for this two bedroom condo) was too old when they were meant for backup or pool, kitchen towels were not up to her standard, BBQ was not clean enough, three people fell in the bath because it was "too slippery," three more people hit their head on the moose when they could move the table, baseboards were dirty (even though prictures after the guests departure showed them to be as clean as possible, coffee maker didn't make enough cups of coffee at one time (even though coffee and grinder were also left for their convenience). I hope you are getting a feel for this guest's standards This is the first time ever any guest has complained over phone or text or left a negative review. I answer every call/text. I even flew down to inspect my condo. Guests since have complemented me on the unit. It this review a reflection of the unit or her unrealistic standards?

This is a great place to stay for anybody looking to be close to all old town scottsdale has to offer. The owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay went well. I highly recommend it!
