The lake house was amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The floor plan was wonderful and allowed everyone to have their own space. The master bedroom area was huge and had a very nice deck outside of it. The living and dining room were large enough for out big family. The other rooms were spacious as well and had nice walk-in closets. We spent most of our time outside in the nice fresh air. We hope to stay here again in the future. A+

Although we did enjoy our stay we found many discomforts with the house for example, there was many spiders and spider webs coming from within the beds and Windows.although we couldn't sleep comfortably because of this issue we did enjoy the house ,it is very beautiful and well taken care of, the lake was beautiful and the scenes from upstairs was beautiful.it is well understood why it is called "majestic lake".

Owner's Response: Once guest arrived they called about spider web in one of the upstairs bedrooms housekeeping when over and took it down, we credit back $25.00 for every day they stayed with us for this inconvenience, we'll also discount their next stay with us when they return in August. We do have spiders in Colorado and we are very sorry we missed this web. Sincerely, Management

Beautiful setting ... Dirty House

  • 2 of 5

We arrived at the house on a Monday evening looking forward to our stay. We've always had great experiences renting homes on this website. The home looked nice and the lake was beautiful. Upon further inspection we found how dirty the home was. The front door and the front windows of the house were dirty and had cobwebs hanging all over. There was a thick layer of dust around the entertainment center and thick dust on the ceiling fan in the family room. My daughter found the pillowcase on her bed had drool marks on it obviously not washed from the previous guest. Cobwebs and dead bugs in the bathroom of the Master bath. Dirty windows on the back of the house as well. The outdoor furniture was so covered with spiderwebs that we didn't use it...no cushions were offered so the furniture was not very usable. The wifi was not working and the manager did come out and fix this quickly. We also asked that they fix the drain in the Masterbath shower because it was not draining. They fixed it promptly. At one point a gentleman with a weedeater came out ... he knocked down weeds in an area approximately 8' x 10' and left the rest. On a positive note, my kids really enjoyed the lake, fishing off of the dock nearly every day. We also rented kayaks that they thoroughly enjoyed as well. The deer were present around the house several times which was very cool! The house is on a busy road so it was not as quiet as we hoped but very convenient to restaurants and downtown shops. We didn't complain about the cleanliness of the house while we were there...they probably would have come out to remedy the situation. I just thought based on the rental costs and the cleaning fee that this should have been taken care of prior to our visit. The house could be a great rental but it was not prepared nicely for us.
