Great place to stay. Clean cabin and Nice people.
Great time fishing, fun on the canoe and paddle boats. Would definately come back.
My husband and I had a very relaxing time here. We went out on the lake in the paddle boat and had a great time listening to the birds, watching the sun go down... it was beautiful out there, peaceful and quiet. Would stay again.
Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The canal is steps away from the mother-in-law suite. The owners seem to be very nice and give us the privacy needed especially with the room next to their home. The place was clean and had everything needed. I would stay again!
My husband and I spent two nights as we explored Crystal River, Homosassa, and Rainbow Springs. We wanted to kayak at the property, which is on the canal that leads to lake, but was too cold (in the 50s). Comfortable stay, and the owner was very gracious.
Very nice quiet place. Very friendly and nice hosts. We had great canoe rides .
Great hosts, had fun canoe rides and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful area.
Nice and quite place for nature lovers
Mike and Joys place is the perfect stay for nature lovers, there is lots of wildlife right in front of your doorstep and its very peacful and quite, yet shopping places and the best manatee spots are just a short drive away in Crystal River. Apartment and kitchen offer erverything you need, there is a barbecue and several kaykas, canoes and paddle boats to use for free. Mike is a very good host who will answer all your questions. We would definetly come again!
WE are a year round destination where you will experience a corner of the world filled with great scenery, heron, egret, and other abundant wildlife; there is a designated birding trail near the Inglis Dam, just two miles from our property. Bring your camera and capture some of the greatest photo-ops imaginable. we are located in secluded, unspoiled area only 6 miles southwest of Dunnellon and 7 miles northeast of Cristal River. In our area you will find modern stores, quaint shops, friendly people, and a pace of life you might have thought was gone forever. If boating and fishing are what you like, our 3,500 acre dam controlled lake is one of the finest in the state for trophy sized bass and great crappie and bluegill. Lake Rousseau is fed by the Withlacoochee River and the natural springs of the Rainbow River, which flows into the Withlacoochee at Dunnellon. These two rivers provide Lake Rousseau with an abundant supply of water. While fully navigable, Lake Rousseau is not traveled at high speeds due to the presence of stumps, so your fishing won't be disturbed by jet skis or wake from others passing by at a break-neck pace. We have our own private boat launch. And just two miles from our property, there's a public water launch below the dam, where you can put in and reach the Gulf of Mexico. So freshwater or saltwater, we've got access to both! Our property is within easy driving distance of many of Central Florida's main attractions as well as local ones, including viewing West Indian Manatees in their natural habitat. Were within two hours drive from Orlando or Tampa, and about thirty minutes from Ocala and just over an our from Gainesville. We look forward to your stay...
