Simple yet clean and relaxing with the comfort of home.

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We arrived late on the first night and Mike greeted us and helped us get settled. The the next day we drove 15 minutes to snorkel with manatees and it was an awesome experience. Ate some really good area seafood as well during our visit. Arrived back to Mike's in time for a sunset kayak adventure with his complimentary kayaks which was an added bonus for us since we love to kayak. The main lake is absolutely beautiful to the north and the creek scenic tour to the south is fun as well for a short getaway. Would like to maybe do some fishing next time. The bed was confortable and we were able to sleep in a bit before check out without feeling rushed. We will most likely be back! Thanks Mike!

This little cottage was amazing. We had an amazing and most important relaxing time. The property is fantastic with a battle boat that is complimentory to go and explore lake Rousseau with plenty of fishing to be done and birdwatching. The property owners are very welcoming and informative, any questions we had they answered! The area was secluded enough to enjoy the peace and serenity of the surrounding nature but convenient enough to movie theatre's, grocery stores, restaurants, or anything thing else you might need. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing get away and will definitely plan a trip back!

Relaxing Spot on the Lake

  • 4 of 5

We spent 2 nights here, to kayak the Rainbow River, see the Manatees at 3 sisters spring and get away for the weekend. It was comfortable and homey. Mike greeted us, and walked us through the cabin, and was very kind and welcoming. We will be back!

Exactly as described

  • 5 of 5

This place was exactly as described. The main bed was incredibly comfortable and the pull out was a typical sofa sleeper. All basic kitchen amenities were included and there were even a few extras. The place was extremely clean and the owners couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. The water toys were in good shape and lots of fun!

WE are a year round destination where you will experience a corner of the world filled with great scenery, heron, egret, and other abundant wildlife; there is a designated birding trail near the Inglis Dam, just two miles from our property. Bring your camera and capture some of the greatest photo-ops imaginable. we are located in secluded, unspoiled area only 6 miles southwest of Dunnellon and 7 miles northeast of Cristal River. In our area you will find modern stores, quaint shops, friendly people, and a pace of life you might have thought was gone forever. If boating and fishing are what you like, our 3,500 acre dam controlled lake is one of the finest in the state for trophy sized bass and great crappie and bluegill. Lake Rousseau is fed by the Withlacoochee River and the natural springs of the Rainbow River, which flows into the Withlacoochee at Dunnellon. These two rivers provide Lake Rousseau with an abundant supply of water. While fully navigable, Lake Rousseau is not traveled at high speeds due to the presence of stumps, so your fishing won't be disturbed by jet skis or wake from others passing by at a break-neck pace. We have our own private boat launch. And just two miles from our property, there's a public water launch below the dam, where you can put in and reach the Gulf of Mexico. So freshwater or saltwater, we've got access to both! Our property is within easy driving distance of many of Central Florida's main attractions as well as local ones, including viewing West Indian Manatees in their natural habitat. Were within two hours drive from Orlando or Tampa, and about thirty minutes from Ocala and just over an our from Gainesville. We look forward to your stay...
