Lake Rousseau is considered one of the premier Bass fishing lakes in Florida. This property is visited by many species of birds including the Bald Eagle. This part of Florida is called the Nature Coast for good reason. There are many species of wildlife to enjoy. The Studio has a full kitchen and is completely furnished. WiFi and Direct TV included. There are two kayak's and a paddle boat for your use, fishing off the dock. Bring your bass boat if you wish and use our private boat launch.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back in the future!!! Mike is very attentive and helpful to all our needs or questions and keeps his place very well maintained. We had so much fun fishing or just relaxing .... we highly recommend it!!!
A variety of boats, paddles, and floatation devices (at no extra charge) makes it easy to access Lake Rousseau, which is perhaps the last undeveloped lake in Florida. Quiet and scenic. Supposed great bass fishing, too, but we didn't have time to get out on the lake. We did fish off the dock, and caught a big freshwater catfish, but it was too heavy for our line and broke free. It will be waiting for you. Mike will send directions, and it's a little tricky to follow them - just go slow - but once you get to Miller's Landing, you'll be very satisfied. Nice, big, comfortably furnished area that includes the bed, easy chair, couch and TV. Dining area, too, which is right off the fully equipped kitchen. All amenities included, plus some items that were stocked in the kitchen. Free washer and dryer use as well. We enjoyed our three nights and think you will, too.
We had a great time using the paddle boat that was provided, but unfortunately did not catch any fish. This property is central to all of the activities in the area.
Mike and Joy were gracious hosts tho us, in their little corner of heaven!
We really enjoyed our stay. Mike is soooo sweet. Place was roomy enough for us. We didnt catch any Fish but we enjoyed it never the less. We will be back again. Thank you so much for having us.
Owner super nice helpful and accommodating I booked last minute and had an amazing stay
Place was really clean I was able to launch my 21 ft bass boat no problem
We will be back thanks Mike semper fi.
We just got back from spending 3 nights, 4 days at this little bungalow on the canal of Lake Rousseau. Mike was ever so helpful and kind. Our reservations, to finding the place, was easy...once we found him coming our way. We never got in our car only to go down the road a bit to get some shiners. We spent every day in our jon boat on the lake trying to catch the 'biggest bass ever'! Not hardly a nibble! That was very frustrationg but we figured it was not the time of year/day/weather whatever. But we sure did try!! It was a great time and even tho it rained every day, we enjoyed the bungalow watching the olympics and grilling our dinners. Difinately will pass the word around about this great little hiddy hole! Thanks again Mike and Joy!
WE are a year round destination where you will experience a corner of the world filled with great scenery, heron, egret, and other abundant wildlife; there is a designated birding trail near the Inglis Dam, just two miles from our property. Bring your camera and capture some of the greatest photo-ops imaginable. we are located in secluded, unspoiled area only 6 miles southwest of Dunnellon and 7 miles northeast of Cristal River. In our area you will find modern stores, quaint shops, friendly people, and a pace of life you might have thought was gone forever. If boating and fishing are what you like, our 3,500 acre dam controlled lake is one of the finest in the state for trophy sized bass and great crappie and bluegill. Lake Rousseau is fed by the Withlacoochee River and the natural springs of the Rainbow River, which flows into the Withlacoochee at Dunnellon. These two rivers provide Lake Rousseau with an abundant supply of water. While fully navigable, Lake Rousseau is not traveled at high speeds due to the presence of stumps, so your fishing won't be disturbed by jet skis or wake from others passing by at a break-neck pace. We have our own private boat launch. And just two miles from our property, there's a public water launch below the dam, where you can put in and reach the Gulf of Mexico. So freshwater or saltwater, we've got access to both! Our property is within easy driving distance of many of Central Florida's main attractions as well as local ones, including viewing West Indian Manatees in their natural habitat. Were within two hours drive from Orlando or Tampa, and about thirty minutes from Ocala and just over an our from Gainesville. We look forward to your stay...
