A comfortable 4 storey Victorian family home located by the North Beach in Bridlington with beautiful sea views. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away as is the brand new fun pool and sports centre. There is a fun fair, amusement arcades, restaurants, and shops all close by. The South beach, harbour and Spa are a 15 minute walk away and Sewerby House and Gardens is a wonderful 40 minutes walk along the clifftops or you can take the beach front land train. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need and there are lots of games and DVDs which you are free to enjoy along with unlimited internet access.

About Dot Woolley

This is a family holiday home owned by my daughter's family and me and my husband. I am originally from Stoke on Trent but we all now live in Derby. I have two children and 8 grandchildren. Over the last 10 years we have spent a lot of time renovating the property from 3 flats back into one large Victorian house which I hope you will all enjoy.

Why Dot Woolley chose Bridlington

We chose this property mainly for the sea views and the fact that it is so close to everything - without needing a car.

As a family, Bridlington offers lots for the children to do as we can just walk down to the beach, go swimming, visit the arcades, go to the cinema or bowling. It is also only a couple of hours from Derby so it is ideal for a weekend break for us.

As a family it is nice to be able to just walk to local pubs and restaurants in the evening.

What makes this house unique

Wonderful Sea Views, Victorian 4 storey property that kids just love as they can get lost in it, and even when it is fully occupied you can still find a quiet corner in the house as there are so many rooms.

We park the car when we arrive and it stays there till we leave.

This property is on four floors so there are a lot of stairs. Great for kids to run up and down but this means the property is not generally suitable for people with mobility problems.

FANTASTIC Accomodation

We were very happy with this accomodation for a three night stay.

The house is clean and welcoming with plenty of spacious rooms and a fabulous kitchen with everything you need at your fingertips. Wi Fi also available and worked.....

Towels are provided and there is access to laundry iron etc.

The house is in a good location 2 minutes from beach and a short walk from town centre.

All in all a very pleasant stay and we would be happy to use this accomodation again and suggest it to others.

Spacious property in central location.

The house is central, one minute from the North Beach and five minutes walk into town. The house is large and the big kitchen at the front of the house is light and modern. There is plenty of equipment in the kitchen and cupboards were full of pots and pans.

There was a lot of old food in the cupboards and fridge. The kitchen surfaces were clean but the oven was not clean. The cutlery and cooking pans had been left greasy.

The bedrooms and living rooms were clean on arrival but bathrooms could have been cleaner. The towels had been washed but were old and stained. We did not want to use them. The beds were clean but not comfortable.

Generally the property is cluttered and has a tired feeling.

There are street parking permits available but day time parking was difficult at the weekend.

There were drunk, uncouth, noisy neighbours a couple of doors away out on the street during the afternoon and evening.

We would not wish to stay here again.

However we have taken on board your comments. In particular the we have always tried to maintain a high level of cleanliness. We have taken your observations up with the company that manages the property and they have responded positively to ensure there will not be cause for such criticism in the future. The concern about the towels and bed linen is also something that we will look into when we next visit the property, which will be in the next few days. Whilst we are obviously not happy to receive negative reviews it makes us realise that we need to be more careful in some areas and so will take the points made in a positive manner.

The house is very close to the beach and sports centre making it an ideal place for families with children

House had lots of pluses. Good sized kitchen with plenty of equipment.

Hot showers, plenty of towels.

Good sized bedrooms

Good sized lounge

House is over 4 floors with bathrooms on half landings ;lounge on first floor next to a bedroom; kitchen on ground floor so lots of stair climbing.

Outdoor space was not really useable. It was accessed from the basement which felt and smelt damp on arrival but once we had allowed some air to flow through improved..

Had a few cleaning issues on arrival which were quickly resolved by owner..

Fantastic house in a great location

We used to always holiday in Bridlington as a child and this was a nostalgic trip. The house is massive - bigger than we anticipated and in a wonderful location near the leisure pool. Good base to explore the Yorkshire coast. They're building a premier inn in Bridlington which I think will bring 'new blood ' and money into Brid. Thoroughly recommend the house - very modern and very clean.
