Stunning property for family vacation on Flathead Lake
This beautiful home essentially has 3 master bedrooms with in suite bathrooms, with 2 additional bedrooms set up with bunks for kids. Very well appointed kitchen for big meals, huge upper deck with large tables for dining and incredible views of the lake, and a downstairs kitchenette with fridge and sink. This even has a laundry upstairs and another downstairs! Down a grass path to the waters edge is a pavilion that includes a fridge, ice maker, beer keg cooler, bathroom, shower, and upper loft for naps or even sleeping. We brought our boat and it fit nicely in the crib dock and slip. Table Bay, where this home is located, is a beautiful and calm section of the lake.
We have been renting homes on Flathead Lake for nearly 30 years and this was one of the most beautiful and comfortable we have ever experienced.
Lovely view and perfect water access
The house is situated on a hill with a lovely view of the lake and mountains. Sunrises are beautiful. We really enjoyed the pavilion by the water and the deck. No point in being inside with such beauty outside.
A great place to enjoy nature and family!
You can’t help but notice the wow factor of 10+ from the VRBO photos of this property.
The house has a stunning view of the lake and mountains from the spacious wood decks. The inside is spacious enough for large families to enjoy being together. The very functional kitchen has a gas stove. There was room for all 11 of us, ages 3 to 85, to sit at the dining room table.
Outside down by the lake, we jumped off the boat slip, swam in the cool water and roasted marshmallows. On the upper deck of the house we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and on two nights watching meteor showers. In the front yard we ate hundreds of the most delicious cherries we picked off the trees as we were watching deer and wild turkeys.
The property location is perfect for enjoying the Flathead Lake area. We rented a pontoon boat in Lakeside to take us to Wild Horse Island, where we did see the small herd. We went birding at nearby Lawrence Park where we saw bald eagles, golden eagles, osprey, etc. We hiked in Glacier National Park and went zip lining at White Fish Ski Resort. We visited the farmers’ market and county fair at Kalispell.
All in all a great place to vacation. Even the thunder showers that knocked out power two nights and uprooted a tree didn’t spoil it. The property managers arranged to have the uprooted tree blocking our access to the boat slip removed within a few hours.
The only reason I rated the accuracy of the listing a 4 instead of 5 is that the canoe pictured in the description was broken when we arrived.
Overall we had an amazing week at this rental. The house was incredible. Even more beautiful than the pictures. My family loves Flathead lake, we grew up spending summers here and we couldn’t think of a better place to spend the week as a family. Our biggest complaint was the neighbors. The neighbors did not seem happy the home was being rented and they seemed hyper alert about everything we were doing. Almost like they were spying on us. One night a neighbor knocked on the door at 10:15pm and told us we needed to turn our music off, and that it was too loud. Our music had been off since 9:45pm and the music she was hearing from from the neighbor next door, not us. But she insisted it was us and was very rude about it.
The other neighbors on the other side of us, did introduce themselves to us and were very nice. They had two very nice dogs and they were very welcoming.
The other neighbors just didn’t make us feel welcome and we felt like we were walking on egg shells around them, despite following the house rules. Not how you want to feel when you are on vacation.
My other complaint was that they owners had the house sprayed for spiders and other pest and insects while we were staying there. The house was sprayed inside and out. We felt like we had to leave the house while they did this. We had dogs staying with us and we didn’t want them to lick where they spayed or annoy the sprayer so we tied them up outside. The dogs started barking and then the neighbor got upset. It seemed like a loose loose situation and really inconvenient for us.
Despite how much we loved the property and location I’m not sure we would rent again due to the unwelcoming experience.
Great location. The house was perfect and the property manager was great to work with. House has everything we needed and then some.
We stayed at this home for a week for the 1 year anniversary of my dads passing. It was a lovely and peaceful place to be with family.
