About Wendy Kingery - Owners

We wanted a retreat for family and friends to come and visit the amazing Flathead Valley area that we love and enjoy so much! We wanted a remote, country setting, for our kids and pets to run and play, kick back and relax room, yet close to town and things we need. It is close to all of our favorite outdoor activities, close to town, yet far enough away that we can enjoy the peaceful mountain solitude, air and sounds...we also wanted more 'critters' in the yard to watch, and boy do we have them!

Wendy Kingery - Owners purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Wendy Kingery - Owners chose Flathead Lake

Fits our families 'Montana living,' wants and needs. We are close to all our favorite outdoor activities yet close to town and our friends. Offers tons of room and space to entertain guests and just enjoy the holiday! Glacier Park...ONLY 45 minutes away with an awesome view for the drive! Winter Skiing at Whitefish's Big Mountain or Lakeside's Blacktail Mountain...only 30-45 minutes away. Summer hiking at Jewel Basin, Big Mountain and so much more throughout Flathead Valley and down the Swan River Valley.

What makes this cabin unique

Are you a pilot? Want to fly yourself to visit the valley? Well, we are only 1/4 mile from the public access Ferndale Airfield (53U). This is a great little airstrip that is very well maintained. Contact the facility directly to make proper arrangements for landing and storage and you are set to go! Or, Kalispell City Airport (S27) is also available 15 miles away and overnight 'parking' available through Red Eagle Aviation.

Only 3 miles from 2 different rental companies for kayaks, paddle boards and/or canoes, one place in the winter offer dog sledding! The other also offers boat rentals, jet skiis, ATV/UTV's, bikes and much more! Both are very reasonably priced and very accommodating!

Cute cabin in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We were in Bigfork for a wedding and the house was perfect. We had 3 couples so the rooms were exactly what we needed. Location was about 10 minutes from downtown Bigfork and 10 minutes from the wedding venue, so it could not have been more convenient. We saw a couple deer on two occasions which was fun too. Nice porches to sit and chat on. Although we didn't utilize it, the kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance/cooking item you could ever need. Beds are really comfortable too. Thank you Wendy and Shawn!

Everything as Described

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights in late September, while attending a family wedding in Bigfork. The cabin was absolutely perfect in every respect. it is well equipped, and offers plenty of space to spread out, both inside and out. The cabin is located in a private area, yet very convenient to Bigfork. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and definitely recommend this cabin to others visiting the area.

Relax full Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a couple of nights and wish we had booked longer. The cabin was very comfortable and fully equiped with everything you would need. Great location, just a couple of minutes from the cute little town of Bigfork. Both nights we were visited by deer as we relaxed on the deck. We will definitely book it again if we are staying in the area.

Fabulous cabin in Bigfork!!!!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and family rented this cabin while in town for the Spartan Race in May. The cabin was amazing, everything we could have hoped for and more! There was plenty of room for all 6 of us with 3 bedrooms and pullout sofa. The cabin was immaculate, the linens all of good quality and thoughtful touches throughout the cabin to include a starter set of K-cups for the Keurig! Wendy was great throughout the entire process from time of initial reservation all the way to her timely return of my security deposit after their cleaning/inspection. Everyone in our party loved the cabin, the yard and the surrounding area. In fact, we are already talking about returning next year for the race and staying again at this wonderful cabin. I have stayed at many vacation rentals with VRBO and some have been disappointing - not so here; the pictures of the home were accurate and a great representation of the home and property and the owners were pleasant and enjoyable to work with. 5 star rating for sure!!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Bonnie & Company for staying with us, and for your review! We are always nervous for guest stays, and try hard to accommodate everyone. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to take in so many fun and amazing sights and "tourist" drives in the Valley. We look forward to your return, we are working on some small "upgrades" this summer, so the house will be a little better, we think, for you all next year. Sounds like your races also went well and you worked so hard for it, congratulations! Have a great summer!

GREAT PLACE! Will be back!

  • 5 of 5

I had rented from these owners 2 years ago at their last location in Eagle Bend on the golf course, so when my mom stayed here this past winter and it was mentioned a few "construction" items needing updated, I was more than happy to offer my services and check out the "new place." I am a general contractor by trade, and the owners purchased this home last fall. The owners are GREAT! Accommodating and made me feel welcome, had everything ready upon my arrival which made my job easier. After work was completed, I still love Eagle Bend Golf Club, so headed over for a round of 21. During down times, I traveled around the Valley a little and took in the sights, they never get old. There is a great gas station/market/deli just a little ways down the road that is awesome, had everything I needed for meals and supplies in a pinch. I will definitely be returning to the Valley and will try to arrange to stay here again at this location, if available. Their last home was great, but this place is...WOW and they have again done a great job. Really enjoyed the location and accommodations. Plenty of room to spread out and just relax!
