You will spend hours enjoying the private pool. It is surprisingly large, and a favorite spot for guests. The two bedroom family suite is perfect for those with children. Two adjoining bedrooms are connected by a door between them. A bathroom is connected to the front bedroom, and the back bedroom opens up to the pool. Upstairs is the perfect spot for those who need peace and quiet. The upstairs retreat has around 500 feet with a sitting area, king bed and full bath. All bathrooms are charming with vintage floor tile and each one has a shower/tub combo.

You may not want to over pack, so get some laundry done in the garage laundry using the large capacity LG washer and the Neptune dryer. If you want to take a ride, borrow one of the three bikes. You'll find several beach chairs here and possibly even floats or buckets for good times at the beach.

Perfect for travelling with extended family or large groups of friends because you can all gather together, or if you'd like, have many different areas for privacy. It is our hope that guests will feel at home for their time in our place, and that they will love their time in beautiful Marco Island!

About Teressa White

We both grew up in Ohio. One of us graduated from the University of Virginia, and the other from a small private college in Ohio. We've been married for over 21 years and currently live with our 3 children in Southeast Florida. Both of us enjoy travelling, love visiting the beaches that are located in our surrounding area, and take daily walks together. I love to cook, and I am always happy to add new kitchen items if requested. In addition, my husband enjoys fishing, and likes to tell his biggest catch stories from Marco Island! My husband is very handy, and often goes to the property during vacancies to check up on things and address any issues.

Teressa White purchased this house in 2014

Why Teressa White chose Marco Island

Our family was transferred to the central Florida area several years ago. Soon after moving to Florida, we stayed in a friend's house on Marco Island and during our stay, fell in love with the island. Ever since that trip, we dreamed of owning a vacation home on the island. This home was so different from many of the homes that we looked at. It is truly unique and different, but also has a nice feel to it. This home was owned by one family from the time it was built. The original owner passed it down to family members, and so we feel very fortunate to be the second family owning this very special home.

What makes this house unique

There are numerous unique things about this house. We all love to play in the pool and enjoy the spa, which is surprisingly large.

Many of the homes on Marco Island are very similar, "cookie cutter" homes, with the same layouts, the same types of flooring and ceilings. This one is unlike anything else we saw and is very distinctive, and has a lot of character.

The dock is a perfect spot for fishing or kayaking. Sunrise views from the dock are full of color and beauty.

The 155 feet of waterfront is a real plus, as well. It's rather unusual to have that much space along the water, but the layout of this property allows that interesting aspect. The 70 foot long sundeck along the water is beautiful.

The sunroom area is spectacular. It is a huge area that can be kept dry with the sliding windows and can also be opened to allow in the fresh Florida air. Guests tell us they spend a lot of time on the lanai.

While our home is large, it has a practical layout. It is definitely not a standard type home. I can guarantee that you will not find another property on the island like this one!

While we live over two hours away, we do our best to get back to the property a couple of times a month. We check things around the house and see what needs attention. And, if issues should arrive while guests are there, they just need to contact our manager so we can address things or answer any questions guests may have.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We really enjoyed staying at your house. It brought together three households from our extended family. Everyone enjoyed the pool. Our toddlers liked Mackle Park (the best playground on the island). I loved the fresh mangoes from the tree out back. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful Home Perfect for Family Gatherings

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 12 family members from across the country gather at this home for the week. It was a beautiful stay in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The house is very unique with an interesting layout that's perfect for groups, which we liked (wasn't a cookie cutter house). Here are my highlights:

- Home was very clean. That is my #1 concern when staying anywhere, especially when it comes to bathrooms and linens.

- Home was very well stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of linens (even for 12 people!), and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. We cooked daily and didn't feel like any dishes, kitchen tools, or gadgets were missing. Owner also includes a starter supply of toilet paper, dish and laundry detergent, and small bar soaps.

- There's a huge outdoor area that's on a canal, so it was really relaxing to sit on the patio right by the water. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. There's also a very long covered lanai. All outdoor areas had plenty of seating areas with furniture including comfortable loungers as well as tables & chairs for outdoor dining.

- The home is a short drive from several grocery stores and restaurants.

- If you enjoy walking/running, there are sidewalks that connect the neighborhood to some scenic places. I enjoyed running daily across the bridge that connects Marco Island to the mainland. I even saw dolphins while out running, which was pretty cool!

- Owners are extremely receptive and accessible if there's an issue. At the start of our stay, my husband noticed the water heater in the garage was leaking, so the owners contacted their plumber who came and actually replaced the entire water heater immediately because he discovered it was going out. That all happened in the same day, didn't cause any issues for us, and we were pleased it was fixed so quickly before it became a big issue.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying in our home! We appreciate you sharing your specific experiences there. Our cleaners work hard to make the home clean, and if new guests ever notice any issues, we encourage them to contact them immediately. Yes, we have worked very hard to make sure that our kitchen boasts lots of dishes, silverware, preparation gadgets, bakeware and serving pieces. I check our linens every few months in order to replace and add new ones when needed. Many guests have enjoyed the quiet location, and love being by the water. We do our very best to respond to problems that may arise so we can find a solution quickly. Please come and stay again!

Great Space for Large Group

  • 5 of 5

This a large property that sits directly on the water... THe house is in really good condition , nicely furnished and well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and there is a lot of contiguous space to hang out. The best part as the large screened in porch that runs the length of the house and overlooks the water. We spent evenings there talking and enjoying the nice weather. The screened in pool is really nice as well. The owners were extremely communicative during the planning phase and answered any questions we had throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this property for a special getaway.

Property #673218

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect and very clean when arrived. It had plenty of room and the sons, who are big time fisherman really enjoyed their ability to fish off the deck when not on ocean excursions. The house was conveniently located and any issue that we had was addressed by the owners. We would highly recommend this home for families who love being on the water. The pool and hot tub were also a big hit for small grandkids, restaurants were close by and the golfers in the family were able to find golf courses with 30 minutes of the home.

Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We had 8 adults and 4 kids. The bedrooms were huge and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was great. We loved the screened in porch and spent endless hours in the pool and hot tub. The rental company was so fantastic to work with and when a few little issues came up they were handled and corrected immediately. The fishing off the dock was awesome everyday. We also enjoyed using the bikes. I recommend the pirate ship expierence at rose marina for any kids and we loved the food at Doreen’s. I can’t wait to go back!

Great rental for extended family gathering

  • 5 of 5

This property was ideal for our extended family gathering, 6 adults and 5 children under 10. Of course the kids spent most the week enjoying the pool and connected hot tub.

The many different gathering spaces were large enough to gather all together and yet provide separate spaces for all to enjoy their various activities.

The bedroom layout, and access to the pool for 4 bedrooms, were ideal to provide separation for the three families.

Owners provided detailed instructions and expectations for the many aspects of their home which were extremely helpful.

Home was well equipped from the bikes and pool toys to the large kitchen.

A great value for a large rental house on Marco Island.
