Quaint cottage was just as pictured. Clean, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need (both indoors and out). We had a fantastic relaxing long weekend on the quiet lake, with the convenience of a supermarket and town 5 minute drive away. Would love to come back!

Old cottage on an amazing lake

  • 4 of 5

The property and lakefront for this cottage are magical: beautiful view, crystal-clear warm spring water for swimming, and a quiet, private and beautiful setting to lounge around and watch the lake from the adirondak chairs.

The cottage itself is cute and cozy (it feels like your grandfather's cottage from the '70s!) and is well equipped with everything in terms of linens and kitchen wear. The layout is great for cooking, hanging out and enjoying lake views all together in one space. It does have a classic old cottage vibe though, which is charming but comes with its quirks, like older beds and a damp smell. It definitely feels lived in— think more like staying at a friend of a friend's place rather than a rental property..

We had a couple issues because of the previous guests, but Craig was super responsive and attentive in making sure that we were happy - he is a great host.

Relaxing, enjoyable visit

  • 3 of 5

We had a great time. The cabin is very comfortable, the lake lovely. We did catch a glimpse of the bald eagle but wet weather on Sunday discouraged its fishing. We enjoyed the boats, visited Fort Delaware, and had a great dinner at Conrad's Corner. The sun came out and our last activity was a swim in the lake's clear waters. Over all a successful goodbye to the summer. Thank you.

Peaceful, cozy, relaxing

  • 4 of 5

A very cute house on a very cute lake. So mellow, no noise or crowds. The water was lovely, but we were content sitting in the adirondack chairs looking at the lake. The screened in porch and the dock are lovely, and we so appreciated having use of the kayak and the little motor boat. The little town is close by and has all the basic things you might need- groceries, liquor store, friendly diner.

Amazing Lake Getaway!

  • 4 of 5

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the cottage while visiting friends and family. The boat and kayak were a great addition! I mostly used the oars to propel the boat opposed to using the electric motor. Just a preference. I had to borrow a friends wrench to take the boat battery out to charge it. The seating by the lake was perfect! Caught and released a nice largemouth bass off of the dock as well! Great place in a wonderful location. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Craig!
