Linda Lindsay and Linda Morris are long time residents of South Whidbey with extensive experience traveling and hosting. They worked together for many years in a peace and justice group, share a love of gardening and maintaining a healthy environment, and help to nurture their own and other's children. They are next door neighbors. They are both well established in the S. Whidbey Community and have many rich connections which will ensure that you have a memorable experience on Whidbey Island.
Linda Lindsay and Linda Morris purchased this apartment in 1990
Both Linda's have a long history with Whidbey Island. Linda Lindsay first came here as a child and moved here later. Linda Morris came here as a hippie in 1971 trying to decide where to go next. She never left. Linda Morris built this house and attached apartment in 1990 and she and her husband subsequently remodeled it in 2002.

Add to this the natural beauty of Puget Sound, views of the Cascade Mountains and many trails through the woods in the surrounding areas, and you will soon be planning to vacation here often. This friendly and creative community will win your heart
This was a great place for a week end trip to Langley. Close to everything in town - very walkable. Lovely garden patio for dinner. Has a small kitchen area for fixing simple meals. Linda was delightful and fun to chat with. We would certainly stay again.
This studio apartment worked well for a three-night stay in September. It's well within walking distance to town and its shops, the harbor, and restaurants. The "big" chair in the corner was perfect for lounging in on the one rainy day! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because my husband is 6'4" and the captain's style queen bed was a little short for him.
From the charming private garden in front of the studio, to the skylights, hardwood floors, comfy furniture and well-equipped kitchen, you can tell a lot of thought and care went into the comfort and needs of their guests. The studio is private and quiet, and just walking distance to downtown Langley. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the quaint downtown area. Beautiful views of the water and distant mountains. The owners were just a phone call away and pleasantly helpful with recommendations and answering any questions. We plan to return and we definitely recommend this property.
I really enjoyed the stay at your place. I would love to stay there every year if that retreat is happening. It was peaceful and the perfect location. Beautiful.
We had a wonderful visit! The garden and pond were beautiful especially in the summer weather. The studio was close enough to town and the beach to make a lovely walk and see all of Langley without having to drive and worry about parking. It is quiet and allows for peaceful evenings and late mornings. My husband and I loved having our coffee in the morning by pond and could walk the neighborhoods on our way into town.
Located just a couple of blocks from downtown Langley, it was a great home base for our weekend. The decor was beautiful. The gardens were gorgeous. It was nice and private, although light curtains may have gone a long way. In the heat it was not possible to really close the blinds and keep reasonable air flow going at the same time, so we had to be pretty strategic about changing in this tiny place, reminding us just how close our neighbors really are. Still, not much of a complaint given that there is about a 2% chance of a "heat wave" and it would have been no big deal in any other weather.
Leave the stress behind and enjoy peaceful island living. Take a walk to the beach, to fine dining, shopping, live theater and music. Or relax in a garden setting, enjoy the view of mountains and water, or take a quiet nap.
