Clean and neat

  • 3 of 5

Property was clean and neat. Beautiful view of a very weedy lake, no fishing or swimming possible. Lots of wildlife in view saw family of otters, blue heron on dock, loons diving in front of dock, saw osprey catch fish three times. One old frypan and one small saucepan doesn't make for the ability to cook much. Gazebo, fire pit were very nice. Water is rusty orange and virtually no water pressure in shower, if you hv blonde hair it will be orange, I've had to use clarifying shampoo three times just to get the rust smell out of my hair. I'd give the cabin a 5 if they'd stock the kitchen better and do something about severely rusty water. We were there 9 days, no broom or vacuum floors kinda gross. I'd stay again but plan on showering elsewhere and not plan on fishing or swimming! Abundance of wildlife and cleanliness made our stay worthwhile, even with other issues!

Owner's Response: Hello Colleen, Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate the comments. I'm sorry your stay did not live up to your expectations or ours. I would like to address your concerns. First, we did have a plumber out the week before you arrived to fix a small leak. Unfortunately, he was unable to hook the water softener that typically takes care of the iron in the water. Not that it helps you with your situation but it is now installed. Second, did you check the closet in the second bedroom for the vacuum and broom? With such a small cabin, we have not had anyone have difficulty locating those items. We will make that more clear. Third, it has been an usual year for weeds on the lake due to the early ice out. By now they are typically gone. Also, the fishing the fishing is typically excellent out front. Sincerely, Chad R.

Cozy cabin with everything you need for a getaway to "the lake".

  • 4 of 5

We loved the cabin-y look and feel and appreciated that even though it was small and simple, the basic amenities were newer and up-to-date, as well as tastefully decorated. There are plenty of spacious outdoor areas for playing, sunning, eating, and sitting around doing nothing but enjoying the lake view.  We used the fire pit almost every night because it was such a perfect, comfortable place to hang out. Added bonus of being on two lakes!  If you are unfamiliar with these lakes  (as we were) you will be pleasantly surprised.

This was a very neat and clean cabin. I had a nice yard with gazebo and great places to eat outdoors

This was an accurate description of the property and we were very happy with our rental. It was very clean and we felt we could make it homey. I added the app to my phone so I could communicate with the owner whenever I needed which I really didn't because all the instructions were there and easy to follow. We would stay here again and have friends that I would recommend this rental to.

We had a great time fishing and visiting a winery nearby.

Relaxing lake views, in a cozy cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Great location with great lake view. Nice outdoor areas. There is an outdoor cabana to eat lunch or dinner, as well as a nice fire pit to have a campfire. Above the boathouse is a nice platform to take in the beautiful views of the lake, and a great beach area to relax. Newer dock with good fishing. Having the great outdoor areas makes up for the small bedrooms and cabin. Quite frankly you'll want to spend all of your time outdoors. Clean and comfortable.

Wonderful location, cozy and clean

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful and clean and the bedrooms were small but comfortable. The location couldn't be better and even though we didn't use the fire pit, it was great knowing it was there if we wanted to. The only thing missing was check out instructions, but that would just be nice information for future renters and didn't affect our stay at all.
