About Katie Campbell

My husband and I bought this property in 2015 as we love to take our children to Dupont and Pisgah to hike and bike. We hope you love it as much as we do!! Any suggestions you have to make the cabin even more inviting are always welcome.

Why Katie Campbell chose Hendersonville

We looked for a cabin for over 2 years. We finally found the location we wanted with exceptional attention to detail. You will love the lights, fixtures, railings and outdoor spaces.

What makes this cabin unique

This home really is a work of art but is very comfortable for those looking to play in the outdoors then relax by the fire. Look and see if you don't agree.

Loved our stay at adventure cabin! Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin just down the road from Dupont State Park. Loved the outdoor patio with fire pit, fenced in backyard with beautiful views- especially the sunrise. Excellent kitchen, fully stocked. Centrally located between Brevard and Hendersonville. Will definitely visit again!

Excellent Location - great getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is our 3rd stay in the Adventure Cabin. Once with our 2 older teenagers, one guys trip with 2 friends to Mountain bike and this time a getaway with just wife and older beagle. Perfect location to ride into Dupont 1 mile from trailhead and easy access into Brevard or even day trip to Asheville. Katie is a great host and cabin is comfortable and beautiful with all you need for a great getaway.

A great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great for our family to get away over the holidays. We had three teenagers and a dog. The dog love the fenced in yard. The house was spacious clean and comfortable. Ample hot water for 5 people. All appliances working well and of good quality. The finishes were very nice. The master bed was super comfortable and I slept like a baby. We enjoyed going into Hendersonville every day and checking out the downtown with great restaurants and a bakery. Try Postero for a high end meal. Try HenDough for the best chicken biscuits and McFarlans bakery for treats and bread. You can hike at the Dupont forest just a mile up the road. My husband said this house exceeded his expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. It’s very nice, clean and well-kept. One warning, no cable or satellite. I am a news junky so that was hard. There is WiFi.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review. We hope you come back in the spring or summer to see the waterfalls gushing or the mountains awash in green.

Nice house but could have been properly prepared before our stay

  • 3 of 5

The property/ house was gorgeous and suited our needs well which is why we selected it. The property was not prepared for our stay. Trash from previous renters filling the cans, no way to light the fire or firewood as stated( in 3 foot pieces with no saw), the water feature has been winterized unbeknowenced to us and the indoor fireplace was no longer functional. The hot water heater was not turned on and there were no instructions that it needed to be.

Owner's Response: I apologize that things were not to your liking. I appreciate you bringing the fireplace to my attention. The ignitor has been successfully repaired. There are cords of wood stacked at the shed. Unfortunately, the hot water heater is electric and if the power goes out unbeknownst to us, it will shut off the hot water. That was turned back on as soon as it was brought to our attention. Due to the lower temperatures in the mountains, the pump in the waterfall would freeze if it is not winterized during the colder months. I appreciate your understanding. Thank you.
